Join Storytellers and Julia Rubens for this event at the newly reopened iconic Grant's Lounge.

The topic for this Storytellers will be migrations, whether it be moving across the world or some other movement from one place to another.

Grant's Lounge was missed by many since it was shut down for a year due to the pandemic. The historic bar and music venue has been renovated during the time it was closed to the public and reopened on July 8th.

If you haven't been to a Storytellers' event before, each one is unpredictably fun.

The stories are limited to 5 minutes per person and anyone can sign up to tell a story. The stories told all relate in some way to the topic of the event.

You never know what perspective you will hear and the stories sometimes have you laughing hysterically or trying to hold back tears.

Julia Rubens is the Director of Arts Marketing for Mercer University. If there is a creative event taking place in Macon, she often has had a part in making it happen. She also serves on the board of directors of Storytellers Macon, Macon Little Theatre, and the Downtown Macon Community Association.

The stories are not censored (except for hate speech) so bringing children is not encouraged.

If you are interested in telling your own story, sign up here.
