The Museum of Arts and Science's new lecture performance series, "The Art of Science," continues on Wednesday, August 19th, with "Sounds of Appalachia."

During "Sounds of Appalachia," attendees will hear Appalachian musical instruments, learn to read shape notes, and sing along with Raptor Manager Pete Griffin and STEAM Curator Xandrya Edwards.

This all-ages lecture series is especially designed for lifelong learners, according to the museum.

"Sounds of Appalachia" is included in admission to the museum, free for museum members, or $5 at the door.
