Perry Bellydance Studio presents The Healer's Hafla at stARTup Studios on Saturday, October 17th, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m.
The unique fundraiser is raising funds for for Doctors Without Borders, which cares for people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, natural and human-made disasters, and more, according to the organization's website.
The Healer's Hafla will feature live music from Strings Of The Heart and more, dancing for audience members and local professional dance artists, henna (by appointment), a Mediterranean buffet included with ticket, and a raffle of gift bags provided by local artists, all well helping support a good cause.
Orphne Sicarius of Perry Belldance Studio shared with me that the benefits of the multiple dances that are considered “belly dance” include physical activity, a chance to build a deeper body-music connection, called “tarab”, which helps "your body express so many feelings through all chapters of life."
