Fans of all kinds of music, from alternative country to experimental electronica, and lots more, can find an entertaining performance in Middle Georgia this week. Blak9earl will perform on Coleman Hill as part of the free Bragg Jam Second Sunday Concert Series on Sunday. The following are a few of the other shows taking place from Friday through Sunday this week.
FRIDAY, May 10th
DYLAN LEBLANC AT THE SOCIETY GARDEN (8 - 10 p.m.)
Dylan LeBlanc is a singer, songwriter, and musician who plays alternative country, folk, and Americana music. LeBlanc has been performing since he was 15 and his newest album, his fifth so far, is named "Coyote". Tickets cost $15 on eventbrite.com.
TEDDY & THE ROUGH RIDERS WITH SWEET DIESEL AT GRANT'S LOUNGE (9 p.m.)
Teddy & The Rough Riders is a country rock band from Nashville that "focus on close-harmony influences, soaring pedal steel, and grooving rhythms", according to the Madison House agency. Sweet Diesel is a honky tonk band that will also be performing on Grant's historic stage. Tickets cost $10 online at this link or at the door.
THE VEAL AT THE HUMMINGBIRD (10 p.m.)
The Veal is a rock band from Middle Georgia that plays hit songs from the 70s through the 90s. The Hummingbird will charge a $5 cover at the door for this show.
ANDY JOHNSON AT VICE BAR (10 p.m.)
Middle Georgia's Andy Johnson will be playing a free show at Vice Bar late Friday night. Johnson's song Dumpster Diving recently reached number 2 in the acoustic blues category on the Roots Music Report.
THE GEORGIA CHRYSLERS AT 20'S PUB (10 p.m.)
The Georgia Chryslers will be playing hits from the 60s through 2000s at 20's Pub. There will be no cover for this show.
BLUE AT BILLY'S CLUBHOUSE (10 p.m.)
Fans of emo and punk music will want to head to Billy's Clubhouse in North Macon on Friday night. The rock band Blue from Milledgeville will be performing and there is no cover at Billy's.
AIN'T SISTERS AT JBA (10 p.m.)
The Ain't Sisters will be playing "eclectic folk rock" at JBA. The band is made up of Arrie Bozeman, Barb Carbon, and Richie Jones. This band was described as "[a] jolt of energy" by Holler Magazine. There will be no cover charge for this show.

SATURDAY, May 11th
ST. JOSEPH CHOIRS & ORCHESTRA AND THE ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC SCHOOL CHOIR AT ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH (7 p.m.)
The St. Joseph Choirs and Orchestra as well as the St. Joseph's Catholic School Choir will perform together for this musical event. This concert will benefit The Kolbe Center, a pregnancy resources center for those in need.
ROAD TRIP: BOYS IN THE BAND (ALABAMA TRIBUTE) AT BARNSTORMER'S GRILL IN WILLIAMSON (7 p.m.)
You can hear covers of hits like "Tennessee River" (1980) and "Mountain Music" (1982) at Barnstormer's Grill this Saturday. Boys in the Band hails from Fort Payne, Alabama. General Admission tickets to see Boys in the Band in concert cost $25 on eventbrite.com.
ROTTEN APPLE STAGE PLAY AT THE MACON CITY AUDITORIUM (7:30 p.m.)
The stage play Rotten Apple will be performed at the Macon City Auditorium on Saturday evening. The play revolves around a former boxer named John Smitty who has to make some hard decisions between his passion and his family. Tickets to see Rotten Apple currently start at $50 on ticketmaster.com.
LANCE RODRIGUEZ AT MAIN ST. BAR IN PERRY (8:30 - 11:30 p.m.)
Lance Rodriguez will be performing pop, rock, and possibly even some boogie-woogie songs at Main St. Bar on Saturday evening.
SHAMARR ALLEN AT GRANT'S LOUNGE (9 p.m.)
Sharmarr Allen has collaborated with Patti LaBelle, Willie Nelson, and others as well as performed all around the world, according to Grant's Lounge. Allen's unique sound is influenced by jazz, hip-hop, rock and roll, funk, blues, and country. Doors will open at 8 p.m. and tickets cost $10 online at this link or at the door.

SUNDAY, May 12th
BLAK9EARL AT BRAGG JAM'S SECOND SUNDAY CONCERT ON COLEMAN HILL (9 p.m.)
Blak9earl has been described as the "songstress of soul" and she will be performing on Coleman Hill on Mother's Day. This event is a perfect way to celebrate Mother's Day as it is family-friendly and you are encouraged to bring a picnic, chairs/blankets, and your family and friends along with you. Court of Miracles will also be on Coleman Hill before Blak9earl's performance with an "instrument zoo sound circle" (5 - 6 p.m.), yoga (5:30 p.m.), hacky sack and a flow arts circle (6 p.m.), mother's day crafts (5 - 8 p.m.), and more. Both the concert and the Court of Miracles events are free and open to the public.
LUNAR LIGHTHOUSE AND FORASTETTIK JBA (10 p.m.)
Fans of electronic music, as well as the flow arts and dancing, will want to go to the Lunar Lighthouse show on Sunday evening. Lunar Lighthouse plays electronic and house music from the south. Forastettik will perform their unique brand of experimental electronic music as well at this show.
