This weekend in the heart of Georgia, there will be country, rock, and even ska music played in venues around Macon and greater Middle Georgia. Take a trip back to the 70s on Saturday at Serenity Entertainment Complex's 70s Players Ball or a performance from a Bee Gees tribute band. The following are just a few of the ways to stay entertained during the next few days.
FRIDAY, July 12th
MATT MCMILLAN & THE CITY LIMITS AT BILLY’S CLUBHOUSE (10 p.m.-2 a.m.)
Music loving night owls will appreciate this late night show from alternative county band Matt McMillan & The City Limits at North Macon’s Billy’s Clubhouse. There is no cover charge at Billy’s.
JBA PRESENTS FEEL GOOD FRIDAYS (10 p.m.)
Feel Good Fridays takes place every Friday at Downtown Macon’s JBA with danceable music, cold drinks, and a large game room for some friendly competition. DJ B3 and special guests will provide the music. The cover charge for Feel Good Fridays is $5 for those 21 and older and $10 for those 18 to 20.
SATURDAY, July 13th
TACO AND TEQUILA FESTIVAL AT THE SOCIETY GARDEN (12 p.m.)
This two-day festival will have two main ingredients (and they are in the title above) as well as music from a DJ. Tickets for either Saturday or Sunday cost $15 each or you can get reserved stadium seating for 8 guests for $110 on eventbrite.com.
LOCAL FOLK LIVE AT BUFFINGTON’S (6-9 p.m.)
This performance from the band Local Folk will take the stage at Buffington’s on Saturday night and is presented in support of Les Brantley, who has faced some tough health challenges recently.
DJ CLARK AFTER DARK ON AMICI MACON'S ROOFTOP (8-11 p.m.)
DJ Clark After Dark will have the crowds on Amici Macon's rooftop moving at this unique event on Saturday. There is no cover charge for this show.

MACON LOVE PUB CRAWL AT HIGHTALES ROOFTOP BAR (8 p.m.)
Macon Love Rugby, a Middle Georgia Rugby Football Club, will be out recruiting in Downtown Macon during the Macon Love Pub Crawl. The bar crawl will start at Hightales Rooftop Bar.
ROAD TRIP: BARNSTORMER’S GRILL PRESENTS THE BEE GEES GOLD ULTIMATE TRIBUTE BAND IN WILLIAMSON (8 p.m.)
“You Should Be Dancing” on Saturday and the Bee Gees music performed by The Bee Gee Gold Ultimate Tribute Band might just get you moving. Tickets start at $30 on eventbrite.com though, at the time of publication, it appears that online sales have ended.
70S PLAYERS BALL AT SERENITY ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX (9 p.m.)

CAM VANCE AT MY BAR IN PERRY (9 p.m.)
Cam Vance is a country music singer and songwriter from Perry. He will be playing on his home turf Saturday evening at My Bar in Perry. There is no cover charge for this concert.

LIZELLA REIGN WITH RACHEL FOREHAND AT GRANT’S LOUNGE (9 p.m.)
Lizella Reign is made up of musicians with a half-century of experience in the Macon music scene. The band features Phil Palma on guitar and vocals, Ken Wynn also on guitar and vocals, and Gary Porter on drums, harmonica, and vocals. Rhonda Porter, Gary’s wife, is also a vocalist, with Tim Pinson on bass, Jerry Baker on keyboards, and Miki Caldwell on vocals. Rachel Forehand will open the show. The doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets cost $10 online or at the door.
SKA PUNK NIGHT FEATURING LEFT HAND HOTDOG, BADABINGS, AND LA SUEGRA AT THE HUMMINGBIRD (10 p.m.-2 a.m.)
Atlanta bands Left Hand Hotdog and BadaBings will be bringing ska music to Downtown Macon’s The Hummingbird late Saturday night. There will be a $5 cover at the door for this show.
SOUTHBOUND MOJO AT BILLY’S CLUBHOUSE (10 p.m.-2 a.m.)
Middle Georgia rock band Southbound Mojo will play at Billy’s Clubhouse late into the night on Saturday. There is no cover charge at Billy’s.
SUNDAY, July 12th
REGGAE SUNDAYS WITH DEAN BROWN & DUBSHAK AT THE SOCIETY GARDEN (4-7 p.m.)
Dean Brown & Dubshak perform their original, easy-listening music at The Society Garden every Sunday at noon. Jamaican-inspired food, bottomless mimosas, mocktails, and more are served during Reggae Sundays. The event is free and open to the public every Sunday at The Society Garden.
FALL LINE RAMBLER AT BUFFINGTON'S IN MILLEDGEVILLE (4-7 p.m.)
The Middle Georgia band Fall Line Rambler will be entertaining guests at Buffington's restaurant in Milledgeville. There is no cover charge at Buffington's.
