This weekend Middle Georgia will once again be filled with the sounds of live music, people laughing and celebrating some free time with friends and family, and children playing the carefree games of youth. The following are just a few of the adventures to be had in the heart of Georgia this week and includes lots of musical performances as well as a unique clothes swapping event at Fall Line Brewing Co. on Sunday.
FRIDAY, August 9th
PARTS & LABOR AT THE SOCIETY GARDEN (8-10 p.m.)
Parts & Labor will be bringing their unique sound, which is a mix of rock, soul, blues, and jam music, to The Society Garden on Friday evening. The band was founded in 2019 and will be playing a show at The Hargray Capitol Theatre this November.

THE RASPY LEMONS AT KUDZU SEAFOOD (7-10 p.m.)
The Raspy Lemons will be bringing their ethereal sounds to the rooftop and Kudzu Seafood on Friday night. The band is made up of three musicians whose musical talent is truly impressive, Charles Fleming, Cody Kurth, and Britton Seprish, and they will be performing a mix of original music and covers.
TONY TYLER BAND AT GRANT’S LOUNGE (9 p.m.)
The Tony Tyler Band plays southern soul music that will “make you boogie”, according to their Facebook page. Tickets to see this Saint Petersburg, Florida band perform cost $10 at the door or online.
GIANT DENIRO AT BILLY’S CLUBHOUSE (10 p.m.-2 a.m.)
Giant DeNiro is a band from Milledgeville whose members are “three line cooks and a farmer” as well as musicians. There is never a cover at North Macon’s Billy’s Clubhouse.
BLUE AT THE HUMMINGBIRD (10 p.m.-2 a.m.)
Blue is a Middle Georgia emo pop punk band that will return to perform at the Hummingbird once again late Friday night. There will be a $5 cover for this show.
SATURDAY, August 10th
CAM VANCE AT MY BAR IN PERRY (5 p.m.)
Cam Vance is a country music musician from Perry who will be playing a mix of cover songs and some of his originals at My Bar this Saturday. There is no cover at My Bar.
ABE PARTRIDGE AT THE SOCIETY GARDEN (8-10 p.m.)
Abe Partridge is a songwriter and “visual folk artist” based in Mobile, Alabama. Partridge has been touring the Netherlands and the U.K. recently and has played with artists like Morgan Wade and John Fullbright. Tickets to see Partridge perform cost $23.18 with fees on eventbrite.com or $20 at the gate.

THE TRIBE X EMPIRE PRESENTS SLUMBER PARTY AT FRIENDS ON THE HILL IN WARNER ROBINS (9 p.m.)
Entertainer Hazel will be celebrating her birthday this Saturday with a slumber party. Everyone over 21 is invited to put on their best-looking pajamas and head on over to Friends on the HILL this Saturday night. Performers for the Slumber Party include Yutoya Avaze Leon and Christina Leon and The Empire's Zoya Marx, as well as Nicole Rosé, Drucilla Vidalle, and, of course, Hazel Moon as well as special guests Hera Kane and Eros Étoile. DJ B3 will provide the soundtrack for the evening’s celebrations. Tickets cost $10 online or $15 at the door.
ANTHONY ROSANO AND THE CONQUEROOS AT GRANT’S LOUNGE (9 p.m.)
Anthony Rosano and the Conqueroos are a blues/rock power trio that will be performing at historic Grant’s Lounge on Saturday. The band has toured with Bob Seer and their newest album “Cheat the Devil” was released to acclaim. Tickets cost $10 online or at the door.

GROUND HUM AT BILLY’S CLUBHOUSE (10 p.m.-2 a.m.)
Ground Hum will be playing 90’s rock alternative hit music at Billy’s Clubhouse late Sunday.
SUNDAY, August 11th
FALL LINE CLOTHING EXCHANGE (2-5 p.m.)
This event lets you change your wardrobe with some new, gently used clothes from someone else’s closet. The clothing must be odor-free with no holes or stains (and no t-shirts or athletic wear is accepted). The remaining items will be donated to the Brookdale Resource Center. This event is free and open to the public.
