Middle Georgia is in for a hot and humid week, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the 90s and heat index values peaking near or above 100°F, if the National Weather Service's forecast is accurate. While sunshine will dominate much of each day, the heat and moisture will bring scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms throughout the week.
MONDAY, June 16th
Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 92°F. Heat index values may reach up to 101°F. There’s a 30% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4 p.m. Southwest wind around 5 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a lingering 30% chance of early evening showers or storms before 8 p.m. Overnight low near 72°F with a light south breeze.
TUESDAY, June 17th
A mostly sunny and steamy day with a high near 91°F and heat index values again topping 100°F. Storm chances increase later in the day—60% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Southwest winds 5–10 mph, with gusts up to 15 mph.
