Middle Georgia's weather should start the week with hot and sunny conditions before a shift to storms by the weekend, if the National Weather Service's weather forecast is accurate. Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-90s on Monday and Tuesday, with heat index values making it feel even hotter. By Friday and into the weekend, showers and thunderstorms become much more likely, bringing some relief from the heat but also the potential for flooding and dangerous weather conditions.
