Middle Georgia communities celebrate the holidays this weekend with Christmas parades, festive markets, and unique seasonal events. Eatonton, Zebulon, and Juliette are scheduled to host evening celebrations complete with Santa visits and holiday vendors, while the Ocmulgee Artist Guild returns with its 8th Annual $3 Art Show in Downtown Macon on Friday. The following are just a few of the festive, fun, and often free things to do this weekend in the heart of Georgia.
FRIDAY, December 12th
>> SHOPPING: Ingleside Village Holiday Market (12/12-12/13)
The Ingleside Holiday Market will take place this Friday and Saturday and features special deals at many of the unique retail stores in Macon's Ingleside Village. Participating business (and some of their deals) include include MoonStruck Souls (free gift for the first 20 customers who spend $20), Ingleside Village Antique Centre (50% deals across multiple booths), Georgia Market House (50% off select plants and ceramics), The Naturalista (10% all items), and Artspace Macon (10% off all prints, jewelry, and ornaments). Each business will have its own hours during Ingleside Village Market, but they are generally open from around 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day of the event.

>> COMEDY: Comedian Chelcie Lynn's Trailer Trash Tammy's The Loose Lips Tour at The Capitol Theatre (8 p.m.)
Trailer Trash Tammy is the alter-ego of comedian/actress/internet personality Chelcie Lynn. Lynn began her comedic career on Vine, a video-sharing website (now diVine). The Ocmulgee Artist Guild presents its 8th Annual $3 Art Show at Green Light Gallery, featuring hundreds of pieces available for purchase, this Friday evening. According to the organizers, the show began as an event where every piece sold for three dollars. Most of the art is made up of leftover prints, paintings, mixed-media, and other 2D works, though this year includes higher-priced pieces on the walls alongside the budget-friendly options. The popular fundraiser has become a mainstay for the Guild, enabling them to create bigger events for the Macon community while providing an opportunity for artists and patrons to celebrate together. Everything sells first-come, first-serve with drinks available throughout the evening. Ocmulgee Artist Guild's $3 Art Show is free to attend.

The AMA Partzilla Regional Arenacross Series brings two nights of high-intensity motorcycle racing to the Macon Coliseum starting this Friday. Elite riders compete on an indoor track in this family-friendly event that promises edge-of-your-seat excitement throughout the weekend. Capitol Cycle will showcase race-ready dirt bikes from seven major manufacturers at event-only pricing, giving attendees the chance to browse the latest models between races. Sprewell Bluff Park hosts Christmas at the Bluff over two days starting Friday, featuring craft vendors, food, and children's activities in a scenic outdoor setting. Warner Robins' Christmas Parade will include floats, marching bands, dancing elves, and Santa Claus along Watson Boulevard and Davis Drive. Wright Brothers Day at the Museum of Aviation (11 a.m.-3:30 p.m.)
This Saturday, the Museum of Aviation celebrates Wright Brothers Day with special displays including a genuine piece of Kitty Hawk alongside hands-on activities. This family-friendly event features coloring activities, a children's book reading at 2 p.m., and DIY glider-building opportunities in the Century of Flight Hangar. The celebration honors the pioneering aviators with both historical displays and interactive experiences for all ages. Wright Brothers Day is free to attend.

This Saturday, Pike County celebrates the holidays with a combination vendor market and evening Christmas parade in downtown Zebulon. The vendor market opens at 2 p.m., featuring local artisans, small businesses, and vendors offering unique gifts and seasonal treats. At 6 p.m., the Christmas Parade will feature decorated floats, marching bands, community groups, and Santa spreading holiday cheer along the square. The Pike County Hometown Christmas Parade and Market is free to attend.

Bear's Books welcomes Macon native Ashley Green, LMSW, for its December In My Backyard showcase featuring her book "I Woke Up and Chose Peace." In My Backyard is an event that features self-published authors. Green, a licensed master social worker and mental health advocate, will share practical approaches for reclaiming serenity and maintaining inner peace regardless of life's challenges. Green's work has also been featured in Voyage ATL magazine. In My Backyard with Ashley Green is free and open to the public.

Eatonton's annual Christmas Parade takes place this Saturday evening and will include food trucks and vendors on its Courthouse lawn. The parade starts at 6 p.m. with Santa himself making an appearance. Food trucks and vendors will operate from 4-8 p.m., with the parade beginning at 6 p.m. Santa will be available for photos on the Courthouse lawn from 6:30 to 9 p.m. after the parade. The Christmas Parade will proceed rain or shine (only lightning will cause cancellation), according to the organizer. The Eatonton Christmas Parade is free to attend.

>> SHOPPING: Old Fashioned Christmas in Juliette (6 p.m.)
Downtown Juliette hosts an Old Fashioned Christmas featuring visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, caroling, and activities with local scout troops this Saturday. Free hot cocoa and cookies will be provided, while Girl Scouts will lead s'mores making and Boy Scouts will host hotdog roasting, according to The Shops at Juliette. Visitors will also get a chance to see Santa's sleigh and his reindeer Comet, and participate in the Juliette Journey for a chance to win $100. Old Fashioned Christmas in Juliette is free to attend.

>> Lake Tobo Christmas Boat Parade (6 p.m.)
Lake Tobesofkee's Christmas Boat Parade showcases festively decorated vessels at Lake Tobesofkee. Boats line up at Fish N Pig beginning at 5 p.m. before departing at 6 p.m. for Arrowhead and then returning to the restaurant. Spectators can enjoy hot drinks and snacks at Fish N Pig's Tiki Bar while watching the illuminated procession. The Lake Tobesofkee Christmas Boat Parade is free to watch.

>> YOGA: Community Connect Holiday Yoga Class at Wellness Hug (6 p.m.)
Wellness Hug offers a free Community Connect Holiday Yoga Class featuring seasonal music and Christmas lights. The beginner-friendly flow is led by a team of Wellness Hug instructors, creating an accessible introduction to yoga practice in a festive atmosphere. Online registration is required for attendance. Proceeds support the ball and the Lester M. Miller Academic Scholarships. Participants receive hot cocoa during the drive-through experience and can enjoy crafting activities in the gym afterward. Cavalier Family Connection makes the event possible with support from six local sponsors including Alderman Hutcherson Deal, Helping Out People Environments, LE Schwartz & Son Inc., The Design Gallery, The Tub Doctor, and Walthall Oil Company.
