Valentine's Day weekend means lots of events for couples and dates, as well as a few for parents and their children as well. While some will celebrate the magic of love, others will be enjoying an anti-Valentine's event, including at The Belltower. Live music for lovers and happy singles can be found at venues all across Middle Georgia, including at historic Grant's Lounge and Gordon's Jelly Elephant. The following are just a few of the interesting, romantic, and often free things to do this weekend in the heart of Georgia.

>> Foodways and Folklore at Washington Memorial Library (5 p.m.)
Learn more about West African foodways and their cultural retention in Middle Georgia from historians Dr. Brandi Simpson and Professor Dietrah Taylor during Foodways and Folklore this Friday. Attendees will also hear folktales, including Tappin and The Land Turtle. There is no charge for this family-friendly event.

>> Igloo Specials at Gracie’s for Valentine’s Weekend (2/13-2/15)
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a unique igloo rental at Gracie’s: A Rooftop Bar. Impress your date or have a fun night out with friends in an outdoor dining space for 10 with a view from the top of Gracie’s. Reservations include a bottle of champagne and a charcuterie board. There are multiple time slots available. Prices vary depending on the day and package chosen. There is currently a Valentine’s Day Special, which includes champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries, for $135 for 2 hours.

>> DINING: Dinner for Two at Saltwater Fishery (5-10 p.m.)
Dublin’s Saltwater Fishery is offering a Valentine’s Day Prix Fixe Menu with items like an Angus beef filet, Mahi Mahi, Garlic Cheese Curds, Tomato Bisque, salads, and desserts that include a Strawberry Shortcake. Entrée prices from the Valentine’s Day Prix Fixe Dinner menu start at $55.

>> Parent's Night Out (6 p.m.)
Warner Robins Recreation, Cultural Services is offering parents a way to keep their kids entertained while they get away for a night together this Friday evening. Kids will play games, eat cheese and pepperoni pizza, take part in gym activities, as well as crafts, according to the organizers. Tickets for Parent’s Night Out cost $25 for Warner Robins' residents and $30 for Houston County residents.

Fathers and daughters will be dancing, enjoying hors d’oeuvres, and making fun memories at the Museum of Arts and Sciences’ Father Daughter Dance on Friday. Tickets for the dance cost $42.84 with fees for non-member father-daughter pairs, while additional daughters cost $5.64 with fees.

>> The Black Hearts Ball: An Anti-Valentine’s Day Assembly at The Belltower (7 p.m.)
For those that are sickened by the sweetness and consumerism of Valentine’s Day, Court of Miracles will offer an alternative: The Black Hearts Ball. Guests are invited to dress in black and take part in Emo and Singles Karaoke, Collaboration Speed Dating, a Burn Party Ritual, and more.

>> Puppy Love 5k at Robins Air Force Base (7:30 p.m.)
Lace up for a dog-friendly 5k for all levels of runners (or walkers) that helps support Paws in Middle Georgia. Runners are encouraged to bring a canned food item, treat, toy, or leash. This race, which is presented by the 78th Force Support Squadron, starts at the tennis courts at Robins Air Force Base.

>> Dance For You Couples Event at Total Tease Dance & Aerial Studio (7:30 p.m.)
Get romantic with an “intimate chair dance” with your significant other at Total Tease Dance & Aerial Studio this Friday. Tickets for this event cost $45 per couple.

>> MUSIC: Lover: The Taylor Swift Experience with Charity Eden at The Society Garden (8 p.m.)
Swifties will likely want to attend the Taylor Swift tribute band performing at Macon’s The Society Garden on Friday night. Charity Eden previously performed for 500 people at The Society Garden last summer. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate.

>> MUSIC: My Bloody Vamp Social Valentine with Choir of Babble and DJ B3 at Friends on the HILL (9 p.m.)
Rock band Choir of Babble will perform at the My Bloody Vamp Social Valentine this Friday at Friends on the HILL. Afterward, DJ B3 takes over to provide danceable tunes for all the nightbirds. Vampire/goth-inspired fashions are highly recommended. There is no cover charge for this show.

>> MUSIC: The Restless Natives at Grant’s Lounge (9 p.m.)
The Restless Natives is a Macon-based Allman Brothers Band tribute band that will be performing at the historic Grant’s Lounge this Friday. The band can be found performing around the country, from McDonough to Charleston and beyond. Tickets to see The Restless Natives cost $15 at the door or online (with fees).

>> MUSIC: Modern Mischief: Friday the 13th at Vice Bar (10 p.m.-1 a.m.)
Celebrate Friday the 13th with Modern Mischief at Downtown Macon’s Vice Bar late into the night this Friday. Vice Bar provides an intimate live music experience, and Modern Mischief will provide the rock and roll. There is no cover charge for this show.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a unique experience at Wanna Tuft Studios this Friday. There will be two sessions of Love at First Tuft during which attendees will create a rug using one of Wanna Tuft Studios’ preselected Valentine’s Day designs. Tickets for Love at First Tuft start at $65 online.

>> Valentine’s Dinner for Two from Her Majesty Kitchen’s Chef Chelsia (5/7/9 p.m.)
Chef Chelsia will be cooking a Valentine’s Dinner for two on Saturday that will include a plated three-course dinner and complimentary champagne during 3 90-minute long romantic dinners. Chef Chelsia won Food Network’s “Chopped”, a celebrity chef cooking show in 2025, winning a $10,000 prize and cementing her reputation for skilled cooking. Tickets to this romantic dining event cost $150 online.

>> ART: Make The Bed: A Solo Exhibition by Walker J. Antonio at Sheridan Studios Art Gallery (5:30-8:30 p.m.)
Sheridan Studios Art Gallery will present a solo exhibition by painter Walker J. Antonio, which features 60 artworks created during the artist’s daily art practice over the last year. Antonio is a Virginia-based artist who is currently working on a Master's in Fine Arts from Falmouth University in the United Kingdom. The artist will speak during the opening reception for Make The Bed on Saturday evening. This event is free to attend.

Erica Carr will perform during the release of her album “Evidence of Affection” at the Jelly Elephant this Saturday evening. Carr is a local musician who performs live at venues across Middle Georgia. Guests are invited to stay and play instruments and sing after Carr’s performance. Vinyl copies of “Evidence of Affection” will be on sale for $35 or for $55, signed with custom artwork. There is no cover charge for this music-filled event.

>> Valentine’s Dance at Reboot (9 p.m.)
Fresh Produce Record’s DJ Willie D will be spinning records for lovebirds at Reboot’s Valentine’s Dance this Saturday evening. Patrons are invited to dress up and dance. Entry to the Valentine’s Dance is free for those 21 and older and $10 for those 18 to 20.

Talk Nerdy To Me will host The Hummingbird’s annual Stop Light Karaoke Party at The Hummingbird from Saturday night until early Sunday morning. Attendees are asked to dress up, wear a colored wristband to let others know their relationship status, and sing love songs or heartbreak anthems with other Middle Georgians.

SUNDAY, February 15th
>> Daddy Daughter Date at Rigby’s (2-5 p.m.)
Rigby’s Entertainment Complex presents a Daddy Daughter Date event on Sunday (and a Mother Son Date event on Monday). Tickets for either event include snacks and unlimited skating, bowling, laser tag, mini golf, and select arcade games. Tickets for the events on both Sunday and Monday cost $51.75, with $25.88 for an additional daughter/son.

>> K-POP Glow Party at Catapult Movement (5-8 p.m.)
