The end of March and the beginning of April will include lots of chances for rain and thunderstorms, as well as high temperatures mostly in the high 70s and low 80s, if the National Weather Service's forecast is accurate. Skywatchers are in for a treat on Wednesday night when April's Full Moon, the Pink Moon, appears in the night sky. The following is the day-by-day weather and astronomy forecast for this week in the heart of Georgia.

ASTRONOMY FORECAST
April's Full Moon, known as the Pink Moon, will rise around 10 p.m. on April 1st. This particular Full Moon is special because it determines the date of Easter this year. The Pink Moon's name draws on multiple sources, including Native American, Colonial American, and European influences. The pink of the Pink Moon comes from the color found in the wildflower Phlox subulata, also known as creeping phlox or moss phlox.
