ASTRONOMY THIS WEEK
The Perseids Meteor Shower will peak from Wednesday, August 12th through Thursday, August 13th this week. The Perseids Meteor Shower is known as the best annual meteor shower, according to NASA. A new moon means skywatchers have an even better chance of seeing an impressive celestial show. During the peak, there may be as many as 60 meteors or more streaking across the night sky. Some can even be seen before midnight, according to Wikipedia.
