New Sign to Honor Ballard-Hudson Senior High School Music Teacher Robert L. Scott Jr. at Location of Former Historic School

On December 7th at 10 a.m. a new sign will be placed in honor of music teacher Robert L. Scott Jr. at the location of the former Ballard-Hudson Senior High School in Macon, according to a recent post from Greg Turner on the Facebook page Ballard Hudson Friends.

The new sign will read ROBERT L. SCOTT JR. Way to honor Scott for his dedication to the Ballard Hudson Senior High School Marching Maroon and White Tiger Band.

The school had several notable alumni pass through its halls, including professional football player Tommy Hart, world famous musician Otis Redding, and professional basketball player Elmore Smith.

A ceremony will take place where the sign will be placed on the front lawn of the former Ballard-Hudson Senior High School which is located at 1070 Anthony Road in Macon.

UPDATE: You can watch the ceremony to honor Mr. Scott that took place on December 7th in the video linked here that is posted on Macon-Bibb County's Facebook page
