PRESS RELEASE: Macon Downtown Visitors Center enters partnership with VisitAble
MACON, Ga (July 17, 2024) – The Macon Downtown Visitors Center is thrilled to announce a new and impactful partnership with VisitAble Certification, marking a significant step forward in our commitment to disability inclusion. Visit Macon is delighted to share that we have successfully completed the VisitAble Advocate certification, which underscores our dedication to ensuring accessibility for all individuals. It is paramount to us that every person, regardless of ability, feels warmly welcomed at the Macon Downtown Visitors Center.
Our decision to engage with this partnership stemmed from a strong desire to broaden our knowledge base and enhance our ability to inclusively serve those with disabilities. Visit Macon eagerly anticipates the manifold opportunities that this collaboration will bring, enabling us to further enrich the experiences of our visitors and community members alike. By obtaining VisitAble Advocate certification, we are not only meeting essential accessibility standards but also proactively seeking to exceed them. This initiative aligns seamlessly with our core values of hospitality and community engagement, ensuring that our facilities and services are universally accessible and accommodating.
Through this partnership, Visit Macon aims to set a new standard for disability inclusion in visitor centers, inspiring others to prioritize accessibility and create environments where everyone feels valued and respected. We are excited about the positive impact this will have on our community and look forward to continuing our journey towards greater inclusivity and hospitality at the Macon Downtowns Visitor Center.
