PRESS RELEASE: Armstrong’s Aubrey VanHorn Named a 2025 Women MAKE Awards Honoree

MACON Ga., April 25, 2025 — Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (Armstrong), a leader in the design and manufacture of innovative ceilings, specialty walls and exterior metal solutions, is proud to announce that Aubrey VanHorn, Assistant Plant Manager at its largest ceiling manufacturing plant in Macon, Ga., has been named a 2025 Women MAKE Awards Honoree by Women MAKE America and The Manufacturing Institute.

The Women MAKE Awards honor women at all levels of manufacturing who have demonstrated excellence in their careers and dedication to supporting and uplifting other women in the industry. Honorees are selected based on their professional accomplishments, community involvement and efforts to inspire the next generation of women in manufacturing. As the manufacturing sector continues to evolve and grow, these role models are essential in helping build a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Aubrey began her Armstrong career as a Process Engineer and quickly advanced to leadership roles, including Value Stream Specialist, where she led the adoption of a local recycled paper supply – saving over $2 million and diverting 3,500 tons of landfill waste annually. As the first woman to hold her current role at the plant, she now oversees 350 employees and is mentoring new female leaders, which is important as Armstrong works to increase the presence of female stakeholders and leaders across business functions.

Beyond the plant, Aubrey is an active mom of two young children, supports Little League baseball and gives back to her community through local shelters and Feed the City, which distributes meals to families in Middle Georgia.

Aubrey was honored at the Women MAKE Awards Gala on April 24 at The Anthem in Washington, D.C.
