PRESS RELEASE: Jack's Hosts Backpack Bash to Support Dodge County Students

EASTMAN, Ga. (Jul. 23, 2025) – Jack’s Family Restaurants (Jack’s) partnered with local organizations Wednesday to host Eastman’s first “Backpack Bash,” an event supporting students in need.

The event, held in collaboration with the Department of Juvenile Justice, Eastman Fire Department, Great Oaks Bank and Dodge County football, provided more than 50 backpacks filled with school supplies for local children ahead of the new school year.

Guests also contributed by donating supplies in the days leading up to the event. Jack’s hosted the giveaway at its Eastman restaurant, welcoming families to pick up backpacks free of charge.

“This is what community is all about,” said Karmen Baker, Jack’s Field Marketing Manager. “When local organizations and neighbors come together, we can make a real impact.”

Any remaining supplies from the event will be donated to Dodge County area schools to support students throughout the year. Jack’s has a longstanding commitment to community involvement across its hometown markets.

The Eastman Backpack Bash is part of the brand’s ongoing efforts to give back and support local families.
