PRESS RELEASE: The Longest Running Burger Week in Georgia Wraps with an Exciting Three-peat

MACON, Ga. (November 24, 2025) — The Georgia Beef Board, in partnership with Visit Macon, is thrilled to share the results of the juiciest week of the year and nine delicious days of beef, creativity, and community.

At its conclusion, this year’s event featured 25 local restaurants each serving up a one-of-a-kind burger creation — all for just $12. From smoky Southern classics to globally inspired flavor fusions, it’s a full-on celebration of Macon’s culinary imagination and beef craftsmanship.

Over 1,000 paper passports were distributed, and the new Burger Week digital app was downloaded 1,152 times. Only half of those digital passes were Macon+Bibb residents, meaning half of the downloaded passes came from 18 other cities in Georgia and six other states.

Over 200 participants claimed their 2025 Macon Burger Week t-shirts by purchasing 5 or more burgers. About 30 participants were entered for a chance to win the Weber Grill tool giveaways by purchasing 10 or more burgers. All adding up to over 3,000 burgers sold for just those that turned in their printed or digital passes!

“We have heard from several participating restaurants that were thrilled with the results of this year’s event!” said Carly King, Marketing Manager at Visit Macon. “When you take into account the number of Maconites and visitors who just selected to try an item from the Burger Week challenge, but not participate in the rewards… that is a whole lot of beef and happy tummies!”

Organizers are still collecting information from this year’s participating restaurants, with only half of those having submitted their beef sales so far. Already at this time, over 3,000 lbs of beef were sold during Burger Week!

Participants were also encouraged to vote for their favorite burger creation to win the annual “People’s Choice” award. Organizers are excited to announce that, after nearly a thousand votes, the winners are:

#1 -- Grey Goose Players Club The Back 9 Bordeaux Burger
**A three-peat for this category!**

#2 -- Macon Water Ice Ga Peach Burger

#3 -- Satterfield’s Barbecue The Cowboy Killer

“We are thrilled to be a part of the Burger Week tradition once more, and we’ve learned a lot from this year’s event!” continued Carly King. “When the Georgia Beef Board reached out to renew Visit Macon’s partnership and explained that Macon’s event is the longest-running burger week of its kind – and helped to kick off expansion across Georgia, as well as with other Beef Boards in states across the country – how could we say no! The beef starts here!

Next year’s event will take place October 30 - November 7, 2026!
