Cochran, GA – Beauty from Ashes Youth Leadership Academy will host its inaugural gala on Saturday, Feb. 28th from 4 – 7 p.m. at The Main Street, 104 Borders Way, Warner Robins, GA 31088. “Our Inaugural Gala is more than a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of faith, vision, and what’s possible when a community comes together for the next generation,” said Sonya Wright, Founder of Beauty From Ashes Youth Leadership Academy. Attendees can expect an evening of elegance, inspiration, and purpose. From powerful testimonies to meaningful moments of connection, the gala’s program will highlight the faith and family values that are part of what makes BFAYLA unique. Funds raised through the event will directly support scholarships, program development, and the launch of the academy. BJ Arnett, the wife of Cameron Arnett from the film The Forge, will be the special guest. BJ is a multifaceted producer, director and costumer/wardrobe stylist with over 40 years of experience in the arts and entertainment industry. A dynamic public speaker, she inspires audiences to see beyond the conventional and explore the limits of creativity. “Her presence brings encouragement, wisdom, and a powerful message of faith and purpose that aligns beautifully with what this academy represents,” said Wright. According to the International Coalition of Girls Schools, girls’ school graduates are six times more likely to consider majoring in math, science, and technology compared to girls who attended coeducational schools. (Goodman Research Group, The Girls’ School Experience: A Survey of Young Alumnae of Single-Sex Schools). BFAYLA was created in response to a growing need in Central Georgia for a Christ-centered educational environment where girls can also thrive spiritually, academically, and personally. As the first all-female Christian academy in Central Georgia, BFAYLA will fill a critical gap – providing a safe, nurturing, and purpose-driven space where young women are equipped to rise. The academy is set to launch on August 19th, 2026. “[This endeavor] was born out of a calling to see young girls restored in their identity, rooted in Christ, and equipped to lead with confidence, excellence, and compassion,” Wright added. “This vision will come to life as we prepare to launch the first all-girls Christian Academy in Central Georgia, creating a safe, faith-centered learning environment where girls are nurtured academically, spiritually, and socially.” To purchase tickets, click HERE ABOUT Beauty From Ashes Youth Leadership Academy BFAYLA envisions a generation of young women grounded in their identity in Christ, strengthened with resilience, and academically prepared to live out their God-given purpose for God’s Glory.
