PRESS RELEASE: Middle Georgia Nonprofit Takes Steps Toward Recovery with Sept. 19 Color Me Graceful 5K
September events will bring the community together to raise awareness and support recovery in Middle Georgia
MACON, Ga. — Passionate Grace, Inc., a Middle Georgia nonprofit dedicated to helping men rebuild their lives through structured recovery housing and long-term support, will host Color Me Graceful – A 5K Run for Recovery on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Georgia Premier Cross Country Course, 3450 Fulton Mill Road in Macon.
Held during National Recovery Month, the Color Me Graceful 5K is about more than crossing a finish line. It is an opportunity for the Middle Georgia community to come together in support of individuals and families impacted by addiction and to celebrate the reality that recovery is possible.
Leading up to the 5K, Passionate Grace will also partner with Texas Roadhouse in Macon fora Dine to Donate fundraiser on Tuesday, September 8, from 4–9 p.m. at 5080 Riverside Drive, Suite 1500. Guests can present the Passionate Grace fundraiser flyer during the event or simply tell their server they are there to support the Passionate Grace fundraiser. Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of participating food purchases to Passionate Grace.
The fundraiser provides another way for families and community members to support the organization’s mission before joining together for the September 19 Run for Recovery. Passionate Grace is working to provide a 10-bed structured, drug-free recovery residence for adult men in Middle Georgia, offering an environment centered on accountability, stability, healing and successful independent living.
The organization’s mission extends beyond providing a place to live. Passionate Grace helps connect residents with recovery and wellness resources while emphasizing life skills, workforce readiness, financial literacy, healthy relationships, community involvement and the support systems needed to build a sustainable life in recovery.
“Recovery is not just about helping someone stop using drugs. It is about helping someone build a life they no longer need to escape from,” said Neysa Quinn, Founder and Executive Program Director of Passionate Grace. “Many people leave treatment determined to change but have nowhere safe and stable to go. Passionate Grace exists to help bridge that gap. Every person who runs, walks, volunteers, sponsors, dines with us or supports these events is helping remind someone that their story is not over.”
The Color Me Graceful 5K welcomes competitive runners, casual runners, walkers, families and anyone who wants to show support for recovery in the Middle Georgia community.
