The fifteenth annual Magnolia Soap Box Derby is scheduled to return to Downtown Macon's Magnolia Street on Saturday, April 12th starting at 11 a.m. 

The Magnolia Soap Box Derby includes three classes of derby racing: professional and shade tree racing as well as Gravity Racing Challenge for high school students.

Last year the derby featured food trucks, live entertainment, a Hot Wheels Learning Zone, art, a Big Wheel Race (sponsored by Kid College), and more.

Soap box derbys involve vehicles designed to use mostly gravity to quickly move a drive down a hill. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
