The fourteenth annual Magnolia Soap Box Derby is scheduled for Saturday, April 13th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

This popular event will include three classes of derby racing, "dozens of race teams", food trucks, live entertainment from DJ B3, a Hot Wheels Learning Zone, art, a Big Wheel Race (sponsored by Kid College), and more.

Soap box derbys involve specially built vehicles that use mostly gravity to gain the most speed down the steep hill beside Downtown Macon's Washington Park.

This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
