The 4th Annual King of Soul Music Festival is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 12th, and Saturday, September 13th, 2025, to benefit the brand new Otis Redding Center for the Arts.

This year's festival will celebrate both Otis Redding’s 84th birthday and his performances in New Orleans in the 1960s.

The King of Soul Music Festival begins on Friday with the annual gala An Evening of Respect. The Preservation Hall Jazz Band will headline this event along with special guests Lamont Landers and Yola and other guests not yet announced. An Evening of Respect starts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12th at the Macon City Auditorium. 

Balcony tickets for the Evening of Respect currently start at at the Macon Coliseum Box Office or on ticketmaster.com.

The festival continues on Saturday, September 13th, with the Big 'O' Show Homecoming Show and Dance. This event will include a nationally-recognized DJ and a spacious dance floor, also at the Macon City Auditorium, according to the Otis Redding Foundation

The non-profit foundation has announced it will release more information and ticket prices about the Big 'O' Show Homecoming Show and Dance soon and we will update this post as soon as possible afterward.
