Flint Riverkeeper will present the Knobby Knees Music Festival, a family-friendly outdoor event, on Saturday, June 6th, starting at 5 p.m.

The music festival will include performances from The Page Brothers (5-5:45 p.m.), The Shelby Brothers (6-6:45 p.m.), Parker Gispert and Band (7-8:30 p.m.), and Kinchafoonee Cowboys (9-10 p.m.). Food and drink vendors will be on site as well.

This event will benefit Flint Riverkeeper, whose mission is to protect and restore habitat, water quality, and flow of the Flint River.

The Flint River begins in East Point, flows under the runways of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and generally flows south through rural western Georgia, including through the scenic Sprewell Bluff State Park (pictured). The Flint River is mentioned in "Gone With the Wind," though author Margaret Mitchell described it as on the border of the fictional plantation Tara.

Attendees are requested to bring chairs but leave the pets and coolers at home for this event.

Tickets to the Knobby Knees Music Festival start at $20, with VIP tickets available for $150 that include access to a private dining room, private restrooms, air conditioning, and a catered dinner.
