Get ready for a week of sunshine and comfortable spring weather as Central Georgia settles into a stretch of mostly clear skies and rising temperatures. If you’ve been waiting to plan a picnic, take on yardwork, or just soak up some vitamin D, this week will offer plenty of opportunities, according to the National Weather Service.
MONDAY, April 14th:
The workweek kicks off with lots of sunshine and a warm high near 84°F. A light southwest wind will pick up throughout the morning, occasionally gusting up to 20 mph. You might notice a little breeze in the afternoon, but it won’t take away from the day’s gorgeous conditions.
Monday night stays clear and mild, with a low around 59°F and a steady southwest wind around 10 mph.
TUESDAY, April 15th:
A bit of a cooldown arrives Tuesday as clouds increase slightly. Expect a high near 75°F with a northwesterly wind between 10 and 15 mph and gusts up to 20 mph.
The evening will be clear again, and cooler—overnight lows will drop to around 46°F, with a light breeze continuing out of the northwest.
WEDNESDAY, April 16th:
Midweek looks picture-perfect. Expect sunny skies and a pleasant high near 73°F—ideal weather for lunch outside or a walk in the park.
Wednesday night remains mostly clear, with temperatures holding steady around 46°F.
THURSDAY, April 17th:
More sunshine and a gentle warm-up are on the way for Thursday. Highs will reach near 79°F under bright blue skies.
By nighttime, skies stay clear, and it’ll be a bit milder, with lows near 52°F.
FRIDAY, April 18th:
Friday brings back the warmth with a high climbing to around 85°F under sunny skies. Whether you're wrapping up the workweek or heading out for early weekend plans, it’ll be the perfect backdrop.
Expect a partly cloudy night with a mild low around 59°F.
SATURDAY, April 19th:
The weekend continues the warm, mostly dry trend. Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 88°F—nearly summerlike in feel.
Expect another partly cloudy evening, with low temperatures around 60.
SUNDAY, April 20th:
Sunday brings similar weather conditions as Saturday, with highs pushing near 89°F under partly sunny skies.
