Memorial Day in Middle Georgia brings warm temperatures, cloudy skies, and a continued chance of showers and thunderstorms. Intermittent rainfall will linger into the week, with the best chances for thunderstorms arriving midweek. By the weekend, drier and sunnier conditions are expected to return.


MONDAY, May 27th - Memorial Day -

Patchy fog may develop early, especially before 9 a.m. The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy with a high near 90°F. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the day, especially after 2 p.m. Winds will remain calm, becoming light out of the west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Monday Night

Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue into the evening and overnight hours, with a 50% chance of rain. The low will be around 66°F with light east winds. Rainfall amounts between a quarter and half an inch are possible.


TUESDAY, May 28th

Mostly cloudy skies and continued unsettled weather. There’s a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon. High near 84°F, with winds shifting from east to south during the day.

Tuesday Night

Showers and thunderstorms remain likely until around 2 a.m., then taper off into scattered showers. Mostly cloudy with a low near 66°F. Chance of precipitation is 60%.


WEDNESDAY, May 29th

Another round of showers and thunderstorms is likely in the afternoon. High near 87°F with partly sunny skies. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday Night

Evening thunderstorms may continue, with a 60% chance of showers and a low around 67°F under mostly cloudy skies.


THURSDAY, May 30th

Partly sunny with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. The high will be near 86°F.

Thursday Night

Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms early, becoming partly cloudy overnight with a low around 65°F. Chance of precipitation is 20%.


FRIDAY, May 31st

A 40% chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms under partly sunny skies. High near 83°F.
