Middle Georgia residents should prepare for another week of summer heat, with temperatures climbing into the upper 90s and a daily chance of afternoon thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. While most mornings will be sunny and calm, the afternoons could bring pop-up storms fueled by the heat and humidity.


MONDAY, July 14th

The week begins sunny and hot, with a high near 98°F. Heat index values could climb as high as 105°F, so take precautions during outdoor activities. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible after 2 p.m.
Monday Night: Partly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers and storms before 2 a.m. Low around 74°F with calm winds.


TUESDAY, July 15th

A higher chance of afternoon storms—around 50%—arrives Tuesday. Expect mostly sunny skies and a high near 95°F, with heat index values again reaching up to 105°F.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy with a 30% chance of early evening storms. Low near 73°F with light, variable winds.


WEDNESDAY, July 16th

A 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms develops after 11 a.m., though much of the day will still be mostly sunny. Highs will reach around 93°F.
Wednesday Night: A 30% chance of storms before 8 p.m., then partly cloudy with a low around 73°F.



THURSDAY, July 17th
