There will be many fun family-friendly things to do as well as events for job hunters, book lovers, foodies, and music lovers this week in the heart of Georgia. The Bragg Jam Concert Crawl, along with Bragg Fam and Muddy Mystery Shows, will take place in Downtown Macon this weekend, while multiple, free back-to-school events will help students get all the supplies they need for a successful return to school after the summer break. The following are just a few of the adventurous things to do this week in Middle Georgia.
MONDAY, July 21st
Bliss in the Belltower: Flow at The Belltower Collective (6 p.m.)
The second Bliss in the Belltower: Flow gathering will take place at The Belltower Collective on Monday. This event for creatives will include a grounding yoga flow, free-flow journaling, a guided visualization with The High Priestess Tansy, herbal aromatherapy, and more. TUESDAY, July 22nd
Back 2 School Bash at Pin Strikes Macon (10 a.m.-12 p.m.)
The 2nd annual Back 2 School Bash will offer students free food, school supplies, and giveaways while supplies last. The child must be present to receive school supplies at this event from Pin Strikes Macon and Chrissy’s A-Maysinglee Creations.

WEDNESDAY, July 23rd
JOB FAIR: 41NBC Job Fair 2025 - Forsyth (10 a.m.)
Employers such as Ace Electric, Academy Sports, River Edge Behavioral Health, and the Department of Juvenile Justice will be seeking employees at the 41NBC Job Fair on Wednesday. Job seekers will receive a free professional digital headshot as well as resume support from the Department of Labor.

BOOKS: July Book Club at Gracies: A Rooftop Bar (5 p.m.)
Middle Georgia Bibliophiles will meet at Gracies: A Rooftop Bar this Wednesday for a book club by Between The Sheets Bookstore. This month’s book club will meet to discuss the “dark hockey romance” novel “Beautiful Venom” by Rina Kent. This unique event is free to attend.

BOOKS: Readers Lounge: Dystopian Edition at Longleaf Distillery (6-9 p.m.)
Macon’s Longleaf Distillery will be hosting a book club as well on Wednesday with readers encouraged to bring their favorite dystopian novels or stories and enjoy reading with a $8 themed cocktail, free coffee or tea, and free bookmarks. Guests can bring a friend to read with or just an appetite for a type of book that some might find too similar to current events.

THURSDAY, July 24th
MUSIC: Christmas in July with the Macon Pops at Fall Line Brewing Co. (6-8 p.m.)
Macon Pops CEO and Founder Steve Moretti, along with some help from his talented friend, Josh Carson, will entertain the crowd at Fall Line Brewing Co. with some Christmas and beach music this Thursday evening. This event is a “profit-sharing fundraiser” to support this year’s Macon Pops Christmas Spectacular. Patrons can help support the free concert that takes place every December in Downtown Macon by mentioning “Macon Pops” when purchasing food or drinks during the evening. Brownbrook Market and Houston County Galleria are hosting the 4th annual Back to School Market from Friday through Sunday this week. Multiple vendors will be selling supplies for Middle Georgia students at the annual event.

MUSIC: 5ive70 Dueling Piano Bar 1st Annual Bragg Jam Kick Off Party (5 p.m.-2 a.m.)
5ive70 Dueling Piano Bar is announcing its grand opening bash during this weekend while also celebrating the return of Bragg Jam. Guests will hear live music all day from two piano-playing singers (9 p.m.) as well as take part in a 80s and 90s costume party contest (8 p.m.), receive freebies from Monster Energy, and enjoy drink specials. There will also be no cover for this weekend to celebrate everyone’s favorite concert crawl.

Hank Williams Jr. (aka Bocephus) will perform at the Atrium Health Amphitheater on Friday evening. Williams has been performing for most of his life, influenced by his famous musician father Hank Williams Sr. He even appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show at the age of 14 to sing songs connected to his father. Twisted Toons: A Drag Show at Reboot Retrocade & Bar (9-11 p.m.)

Author Sara H. Fowler will be at Between Friends Coffee to celebrate the release of her latest illustrated children’s book, “My Mom is a Dragon: An Adventure to Understanding Postpartum Mood Disorders”. MUSIC: Bragg Jam Concert Crawl in Downtown Macon (4:30 p.m.)
The Bragg Jam Concert Crawl returns this year with a long list of talents performing everything from “soul to rock [and] hip hop to Americana.” During this year’s Bragg Jam Concert Crawl, American Aquarium and Susto will be the headliners. More than 20 acts will perform at six venues: Grant’s Lounge, JBA, Serenity Entertainment Complex, Capricorn Studios, Vice Bar, and The Capitol Theatre. Bragg Jam has put together a convenient Spotify playlist of music from the artists who will be performing. Additionally, this year’s Bragg Jam Concert Crawl will include three Muddy Mystery Shows (two on Friday and one on Sunday) where a mystery act will perform at a secret venue. Court of Miracles: Renegade Circus at Fresh Produce Records (5-8 p.m.)
Court of Miracle's Renegade Circus is a pop-up silent disco and street party taking place at Fresh Produce Records that will celebrate community, creativity, and connection, according to the organizer. Ths family-friendly event will feature a silent disco and lively music. Wearing circus-themed costumes is highly encouraged at this free, family-friendly Bragg Jam sanctioned event.

SUNDAY, July 27th
FOOD: Bragg Brunch 2025 at Emerson and Plum (12-5 p.m.)
This year’s Bragg Brunch will take place at Emerson and Plum, a wedding and event venue that was formerly the Emerson Ballroom. Bragg Brunch will feature a brunch buffet from Fountain of Juice (12-2 p.m.), a cash bar by Macon Drinks, unlimited mimosas and bloody mary’s, live local music and a DJ set from The Society Event Firm, and a curated vendor market. FOOD: Tastes of the Islands at Kudzu Seafood Company (2-6 p.m.)
Kudzu chefs Jess Boone and Waikoloa Shedrick will prepare 6 courses of island cuisines paired with specialty rums on Kudzu’s rooftop bar, The Wheelhouse, on Sunday evening. Tastes of the Island costs $200 per person and tickets must be purchased in advance.

2025 Jazz in the Courtyard Finale! Bring lawn chairs and enjoy the last Jazz in the Courtyard of 2025 this Sunday with music from trumpeter Ken Trimmins and saxophonist Alphonso Thomas. Jazz in the Courtyard is a free event presented by the historic The Douglass Theatre.
