Downtown Macon’s breakfast scene is about to get a big boost as the Flying Biscuit Café prepares to open its doors on Monday, July 28th. The popular all-day breakfast chain, known for its southern-inspired menu and fluffy homemade biscuits, will open at 588 Mulberry Street, bringing with it a series of grand opening specials and weekday discount events aimed at welcoming the community.

Macon’s new Flying Biscuit Cafe will open its doors at 7 a.m. each day while the closing hours haven't been announced yet. The other locations in Georgia have a range of opening and closing hours with the average closing hour being around 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Flying Biscuit Cafe's History

Founded in Atlanta’s Candler Park neighborhood in 1993, the Flying Biscuit Café has since expanded to over 30 locations across Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, and Texas. The Macon location will be the brand’s latest venture into Middle Georgia.

According to the restaurant’s website, the Flying Biscuit serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner daily, including options for vegetarian and vegan diners. In addition to coffee, tea, juice, and soft drinks, the menu includes a range of cocktails and adult beverages like Bloody Marys and Watermelon Mules for the brunch crowd.

Grand Opening Specials

To mark the Grand Opening, the restaurant is rolling out several promotions that will run through August 11th.

The first 50 guests each day will receive a free $10 gift card. Additionally, social media users who post a story or reel from the restaurant and tag the official page will also receive a $10 gift card after showing the post to their server.

Diners can also enjoy the “Flying Biscuit Special” (a full breakfast plate) for just $7.

Finally, The Flying Biscuit Cafe will offer weekly discounts for students, teachers and school staff, and first responders as part of the Grand Opening specials:

  • Tuesdays: 50% off for students with valid student ID

  • Wednesdays: 50% off for teachers and school staff with credentials

  • Thursdays: 50% off for first responders with proper ID

The addition of Flying Biscuit to Mulberry Street adds another needed option for early risers, midday brunchers, and anyone craving a comfort-food classic while exploring Downtown Macon.
