Middle Georgians of all ages can dress in Halloween costumes and go trick-or-treating, adult singles can go on a unique speed date, and much more during the next four days. On Thursday, Mercer University Opera will host a unique musical event about relationships called "Public Lies, Private Truths," while Warren Zeiders will perform his country hits on the huge stage at the Atrium Health Amphitheater. The following are just a few more of the unique, fun, and often free things to do this week in the heart of Georgia.
MONDAY, October 27th
Legacy Classic Golf and Bingo Tournament at River North Country Club (8 a.m.-5 p.m.)
The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce and Five Star Credit Union are presenting the annual Legacy Classic Golf and BINGO Tournament on Monday at River North Country Club. Attendees can choose to play three rounds of bingo, pick up some golf clubs to play golf, or choose someone else to play golf on their behalf, with 5 rounds of prizes available. Pumpkin Patch at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church (12-7 p.m.)
Mount Calvary Lutheran Church will present a Pumpkin Patch experience on Monday. Bring a camera for some memorable photographs. This family-free fall event is free to attend.

Men’s Talk at Serenity Entertainment Complex (6:30-8 p.m.)
Jeremy Grissom and Anthony Howard Jr. want to talk to Middle Georgia men on Monday evening. Topics of discussion for this event will be the challenges men might face daily. This event is meant to help men share their personal experiences while learning from others and “gaining valuable perspectives.” Tickets to Men’s Talk are free online on eventbrite.com.

Toddler Halloween Party at Monkey Joe’s (10 a.m.-1 p.m.)
Monkey Joe’s will be throwing a Halloween party for toddlers (children under 4) on Tuesday with a festive parade at 11 a.m. and a Halloween costume contest. Attendees older than 4 can also attend, but will not be allowed to take part in the costume contest. Children under 4 pay $4 for admission at Monkey Joe’s on Tuesdays. Speed Dating in Warner Robins at Mellow Mushroom (6 p.m.)
Dating these days can be complicated by dating apps, where bots and catfishers (meaning those who use fake online personas), and spooky “ghosts” that disappear mysteriously with no explanation. A speed dating event from Kris & Jin Events Co. hopes to make things more interesting with “10+ mini-dates” while hanging out in person on the patio at Mellow Mushroom. At the end of the evening, you can choose any of the other singles that you felt a spark with. This dating event is for adults 25 and older. Horror Movie Trivia at Tap & Pour (7 p.m.)
Halloween is on Friday but you can get spooked early with some Horror Movie Trivia on Tuesday with Dr. Factenstein's Trivia - Middle Georgia at Tap and Pour in Warner Robins. Trivia starts at 7:00 p.m. and prizes will be given out for the top 3 scoring teams. This trivia event is free and open to the public.

WEDNESDAY, October 29th
Rigby’s Conference Center Ribbon Cutting (4 p.m.)
Rigby's Entertainment Complex, along with the Robins Regional Chamber and the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for Rigby’s brand-new 85,000 square foot conference center on Wednesday. Guests will also get a chance to check out Rigby’s new event venue with more than 17,000 square feet of space. This event is free and open to the public.

October Readers Lounge: Horror Night at Longleaf (6-7:30 p.m.)
Longleaf Distillery will present another Readers Lounge this Wednesday where attendees will be reading books in the horror genre. The featured cocktail for this event will be The Hemorrhage, made with Alba, orange juice, bitters, and cranberry juice. This reading event is free and open to attend.

Barks N Brews will hold its annual Howl-o-Ween contest this Wednesday. Humans are encouraged to help their furry friends get dressed up in Halloween contests to take part in an adorably frightening costume contest. As a reward for being a good boy or girl, the humans can enjoy craft beers, ciders, and seasonal beverages. THURSDAY, October 30th
Ghouls Night Out in Historic Downtown Perry (5-8 p.m.)
Ghouls Night Out is a family-friendly evening of spooky late-night shopping in Historic Downtown Perry on Thursday. There will be giveaways from the Perry Main Street Board, as well as longer store hours and in-store promotions from local retailers. Ghouls Night Out is free and open to attend.

Nightmare on Main Street in Downtown Byron (6-7:30 p.m.)
Downtown Byron presents Nightmare on Main Street with trick-or-treating with local businesses, organizations, and families. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in their spookiest costumes for this Halloween event. There will also be food vendors for all the hungry ghosts at this family-friendly, free event.

Country music singer and songwriter Warren Zeiders will bring his Relapse, Lies, & Betrayals Tour to the Atrium Health Amphitheater this Thursday. Special guest Chayce Beckham, a country music singer and songwriter who won American Idol 2021, will be Zeiders’ special guest. MUSIC: Mercer University Opera presents “Public Lies, Private Truths” at Fickling Hall (10/30-11/1) (7:30-9 p.m.)
Mercer University Opera will explore relationships and how they change and grow in “Public Lies, Private Truths,” which will have showings from Thursday through Saturday of this week. This show will include Leonard Bernstein’s "Trouble in Tahiti,” Lisa DeSpain’s "Men I’m Not Married To,” and Dan Shore’s "An Embarrassing Position.” General admission tickets to “Public Lies, Private Truths” can be purchased for $20 at this link.
