Middle Georgians should expect a fair amount of rain to start the week and to begin the weekend, and one night's low temperature is expected to reach below freezing, according to the National Weather Service's weather forecast. The last full moon of the year, the Cold Moon, will be visible from Thursday through Friday. It will also be a supermoon, which means it will appear larger and brighter. The following is a day-by-day forecast for the weather this week in the heart of Georgia.

    Cold Moon (aka Winter Maker Moon, Long Night Moon, Moon of the Popping Trees, Little Spirit Moon): The last full moon of 2025 will be a supermoon. Moon will be brighter because as it gets as close as it gets to the Earth (17,000 miles closer on December 4th and 238,855 miles normally).
