Adventures this week include a night of rousing music featuring the Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra, an intimate concert from Luke Schneider in Downtown Macon's Fresh Produce Records, a performance of "Swan Lake" by an international dancing troupe, and a unique concert of music from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies. On Thursday, adventurers can spend a night under the stars to better understand the experiences of the homeless while raising funds for Depaul USA Daybreak/Sheridan Center to help the less fortunate. MONDAY, February 23rd
>> MUSIC: Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra at The Piedmont Grand Opera House (7:30 p.m.)
Guest conductor Mei-Ann Chen, who is music director of the Chicago Sinfonietta and conductor laureate of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, will lead talents from the McDuffie Center for Strings, along with their mentors from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, during this concert event on Monday. Songwriters from the Otis Redding Center for the Arts will open the show with music from genres spanning blues to hip-hop, according to the music venue. Tickets to the Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra start at $29.86 online.

>> Free Weather Radio Distribution at the Macon Mall (11 a.m.-2 p.m.)
The Macon-Bibb Emergency Management Agency and Macon-Bibb County will present a free weather radio distribution event at the Macon Mall’s conference room on Tuesday. Attendees (with a valid ID) will be asked to fill out a short survey before receiving the weather radio. This event is free and open to residents of Macon-Bibb County.

>> Kid Baking Class at Little Sweeties Cakery (5 p.m.)
Little Sweeties Cakery in Warner Robins hosts a monthly kid baking class from February through November, with young chefs learning how to bake brownies on Tuesday. Little Sweeties is a bakery/event space that sells cupcakes and cakes. Tickets to this unique cooking class cost $12 online.

>> MUSIC: Luke Schneider at Fresh Produce Records (7 p.m.)
Nashville ambient music artist Luke Schneider will perform for patrons at Fresh Produce Records on Tuesday evening. Scheider plays a pedal steel guitar that is more commonly used by country artists. Local musicians Dalton Love and Evan Bentzel will open for Schneider. This show is for those who appreciate experimental music or are open to auditory adventures. Tickets for this concert cost $10 at the door.

WEDNESDAY, February 25th
>> MUSIC: “Swan Lake” at The Piedmont Grand Opera House (7:30-10:30 p.m.)
Dancers from over a dozen countries will perform the ballet “Swan Lake” at The Piedmont Grand Opera House this Wednesday. “Swan Lake” is a famous ballet from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky that tells the story of Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette, who is cursed to change into a swan each day, and it deals with themes of love and betrayal. Tickets to “Swan Lake” cost $50+ online.

>> MUSIC: The Music of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit at the Macon City Auditorium (8-10 p.m.)
Travel to the land of the shires with music from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit at the Macon City Auditorium this Wednesday. This concert will feature a special guest from The Lord of the Rings films, the Philharmonic Orchestra, along with the Choir of the Shire, and music from artists like Ed Sheeran, Annie Lennox, and Enya, according to the Macon City Auditorium. Tickets for this concert currently start at $62.50 on ticketmaster.com.

THURSDAY, February 26th
>> HOCKEY: Macon Mayhem vs. Pensacola Ice Flyers on School Day Game in the Macon Coliseum (10:30 a.m.)
Students from across Middle Georgia will visit the Macon Coliseum on Thursday for a game of hockey between the Macon Mayhem and the Pensacola Ice Flyers this Thursday. The doors open at 9 a.m. with the pick dropping at 10:30 a.m. Tickets to these events cost $10 per K-8 student in Middle Georgia and include a ticket, a STEM educational worksheet, and a memorable experience.

>> 2025 Macon Sleepout from Depaul USA Daybreak/Sheridan Center (6:30 p.m.)
Middle Georgians are invited to join Depaul USA Daybreak/Sheridan Center in an evening outdoors to better understand the experiences of the many people who live without homes on Thursday. The 2025 Macon Sleepout also helps raise funds to help those in need in Middle Georgia.
