PRESS RELEASE: Fair Food Frenzy, presented by Performance Food Service, is back in Downtown Macon
Macon, GA –Downtown Macon restaurants are serving up fair food-themed specials and drinks this weekend in honor of fair season in Middle Georgia. Twenty-one participating restaurants will offer specials beginning Friday, October 4 through Sunday, October 6.
NewTown Macon hosted the first Fair Food Frenzy in 2020 to support local restaurants and give Middle Georgians a taste of their favorite fair food during the pandemic. Downtown restaurants and patrons enjoyed the concept so much that it has become an annual event in downtown Macon.
Participating restaurants include Cashman’s Pub, Daiquiris & More, Fall Line Brewing Co., H&H, Hello Boba Café, Jalapenos Cantina, Just Tap’d, Kinjo Kitchen + Cocktails, Kudzu Seafood Company, La Bella Morelia, Longleaf Distilling Co., Loom at Hotel Forty Five, Macon Water Ice, Ocmulgee Brewpub, Reboot Retrocade & Bar, the Rookery, Satterfield’s, Satterfield’s BBQ, Sweet Eleanor’s, Taste and See Coffee Shop, The Brick, and Yay Beignet.
“Downtown Macon is a dining destination for our region and state with 56 restaurants that are all locally owned and operated,” said Emily Hopkins, Vice President of External Affairs and Main Street Manager at NewTown Macon. “Events like our annual Fair Food Frenzy help showcase our dining scene and give our restaurateurs and chefs an opportunity to flex their creative culinary muscles. We encourage you to visit your favorite participating restaurant or try one you’ve never visited before this weekend!”
