PRESS RELEASE: MADE IN GEORGIA: ZETA Education Fund To Host Business Roundtable Highlighting Historic Electric Vehicle and Battery Supply Chain Investments in Georgia
(UPDATED 2/14/2025) On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA) Education Fund will host a business roundtable in Savannah, Georgia, highlighting the state’s historic electric vehicle (EV) and battery supply chain investments. Bringing together elected officials and industry leaders, the panel discussion will showcase Georgia’s place as a leader in the domestic EV and battery supply chain and reinforce the state’s importance in the interconnected, broader effort to establish the U.S. as a major player in the global market.
From battery manufacturing to charging deployment and automotive assembly, the EV and battery supply chain supports over $27.3 billion in investment and tens of thousands of jobs across Georgia.
The roundtable will feature:
- Opening remarks from ZETA Education Fund’s Executive Director Albert Gore;
- A fireside chat with Congressman Buddy Carter, moderated by Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Bert Brantley;
- An industry panel featuring representatives from LG Energy Solution, Rivian Automotive, Siemens, Southern Company, and Qcells, moderated by Tim Echols, Commissioner, Georgia Public Service Commission; and
- A closing keynote from Robert H. Lee, Corporate Executive Vice President, Head of North America, LG Energy Solution.
Visuals: Two Rivian vehicles will be on site, and Albert Gore and Robert H. Lee will be available for interviews following the program.
