“During last year’s event which was held inside the Terminal Station due to inclement weather, we sold 9,275 tickets which is what patrons used to pay for delicious small samples of the food and drink items at the Pink Provisions Party and the trail continues to see hundreds of downloads each year!” explained Visit Macon’s Marketing & Event Manager Lucy Hughes. “It was a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the array of festival activities, attract visitors, and to give a glimpse into the many Macon businesses and what they do to support Macon’s biggest event of the year! Our goal was to encourage visitors to return and get more of their favorites while in town and of course, create FOMO for everyone to want to try and experience it all!”
“Lastly, we encourage you to engage with Visit Macon and these businesses online… post, share and vote for your favorites!”
Visit Macon through efforts with its public relations agency, have invited several travel writers to also taste the treats and then vote for their favorite at the event, with the Media’s Choice Award!
Of course, the Pink Provision Trail will once again be offered on the Tour Macon app from March 15th to the 24th. This year restaurants will serve up both savory and sweet combinations such as the Pork Belly Bites with Maraschino Cherry Hoisin sauce at Kinjo or Layers’ new blushberry torte!
