PRESS RELEASE: Museum of Aviation Foundation Announces New President and CEO

Lorra Lynch Jones named President/CEO for the Museum of Aviation Foundation, effective Aug. 17, 2026

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – The Museum of Aviation Foundation proudly announces Lorra Lynch Jones as its new President/CEO, effective Aug. 17, 2026.

MOA Foundation Board of Directors Chairman Howard "Chris" Davis welcomed Jones to the museum. "Lorra really impressed the selection committee with not just her credentials, but also her over decade long track record building trusted relationships across military, government, education, business, and nonprofit sectors while leading mission-driven initiatives that strengthen organizations and communities," Davis said.

As President and CEO of the Museum of Aviation Foundation, Jones will lead efforts to preserve the legacy of aviation through education, innovation and community connection. She will partner with Museum of Aviation Director Ken Emery to support one of the largest aviation museums in the U.S. that houses more than 4,500 artifacts and attracts more than 334,000 visitors annually. She will work closely with government, military, and industry partners to grow the museum's service to the region as an educational partner, community cornerstone, and premier tourism experience.

Jones brings more than 20 years of experience in leading strategic communication and community engagement. She served as WMAZ-TV's News Director for more than a decade, guiding the news organization in its service to audiences across Central Georgia. Prior to that role, Jones anchored and reported throughout the region with a focus on developing relationships and coverage on Robins Air Force Base and its surrounding communities.

Jones said she looks forward to building on the museum's legacy. "The Museum of Aviation is a treasure of U.S. military aviation history and one of Central Georgia's greatest assets, honoring the service and sacrifice of those who have proudly served our nation. I look forward to sharing its remarkable stories with new audiences, expanding its impact, and strengthening the Museum's role as an educational, cultural, and community cornerstone for generations to come," Jones said.

Jones replaces Dan Rhoades, who retired from the position in July 2026. Melissa Spaulding is currently serving as interim President/CEO until Jones' effective date.
