The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia invites runners to wear their strangest and "most extreme" pink race outfit for the Cherry Blossom Road Race on March 18th.

Race participants can choose to run a 5K (3.1 miles) or a Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles). Both races will start and finish at Howard High School.

The Cherry Blossom Road Race is an officially sanctioned event of the International Cherry Blossom Festival and  is also a part of the Macon Tracks Running Club/OrthoGeorgia Race Series.

The race will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia, which helps families with sick children find an affordable place to stay near the hospital and in other ways to help reduce the families' stresses and worries.

Registration costs for the Cherry Blossom Road Race before March 5th: 5K - $30, Quarter Marathon - $35, and the Virtual/Snooze (which allows racers to start the race on their own schedule and in their own location) - $25.

Registration costs after March 5th: the 5K and Quarter Marathon cost will increase by $5 each and the Virtual/Snooze race price will stay $25.

Packet pick up for the Cherry Blossom Road Race opens at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the race at Howard High School.

Pre-Race packet pickup and in person registration will take place from Thursday, March 16th (12 p.m. to 6 p.m.) through Friday, March 17th (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) at The Ronald McDonald House located at 1160 Forsyth Street in Macon.
