Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration at the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park in Macon (9/16 - 9/17)

The Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration will take place from Saturday, September 16th through Sunday, September 17th from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. this year.

This event features "Native American performers and interpreters,...Muscogee Creek Nation citizens...dances, stories, music, crafts, and food" according to the organizers. 

Dancing is one of the most memorable parts of these festivals (Photographer Nate Weeks)

Event parking is located at the Macon Bibb County Health Plaza (171 Emery Highway) and a free shuttle will travel between the parking area and the event starting at 9:15 a.m. on both days and departing every 15 minutes.
