Storytellers Macon invites the Middle Georgia public to share tales of narrow escapes and near misses at their next open-mic storytelling event, Threading the Needle, on Tuesday, April 8th when the doors open at 6:30 p.m. and stories begin at 7 p.m.
Life is full of moments that demand precision - those split-second decisions, the perfect execution, or even a stroke of pure luck.
Whether it's a moment of skillful success or a time when things didn’t quite go as planned, this event is all about the stories where precision - or the lack of it - defined the outcome.
Did you once pull off a flawless move under pressure you want to tell people about? Or did you watch something slip through your fingers that serves as a perfect cautionary tale for your peers? Either way, this is your chance to take the mic and share your experience.
The featured storyteller for the evening is Ashley Monique Wilson, a published fashion designer as well as a stylist and seamstress, who will add her unique story to the night’s theme.
This is an open-mic event, and participants are encouraged to sign up in advance at this link. Each storyteller has five minutes to share their tale, and while all stories are uncensored (except for hate speech), attendees should be mindful when bringing children.
Whether you're stepping up to the mic or just listening in, this promises to be an evening of captivating, real-life stories where precision, grace, and even missteps take center stage.
