Macon Weather Forecast for Friday, August 27th through Sunday, August 29th

Macon's weather forecast this weekends calls for plenty of chances of rain and thunderstorms as well as some high temperatures.

This weekend might be a scorcher, at least as far as the heat index is concerned.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting that the weekend weather in Macon will have a chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the weekend, but with plenty of heat and heat indexes possibly reaching over 100 degrees.

Friday, August 27th, the forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. It should be a partly sunny day with a high near 90 and heat index values "as high as 101". The evening will bring a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Saturday, August 28th is forecast by the NWS to have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Weather conditions otherwise will be partly sunny and a high of 90 degrees with heat index values reaching 100 degrees. Saturday evening is forecast to have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Sunday, August 29th is forecast to have a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Otherwise weather conditions should be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the low 90's.

The forecast for next week predicts many chances of showers and thunderstorms with a mix of sunny and cloudy conditions and high temperatures mostly in the upper 80's
