May Adult/Teen Craft Night in Griffin (6:30 - 8 p.m.)

The Griffin-Spalding County Library invites the public to come create a work of art using "pebbles, driftwood and shells" on Monday night. Tuesday, May 24th

Music Therapy Open Jam at JBA in Macon (9 p.m. - 1 a.m.)

It is common to hear people joke about the expensiveness of therapy but JBA is offering a type of free therapy every Tuesday night. Audience members can bring their own instruments to play with other local musicians as a way to reduce stress. JBA is located at 499 MLK Jr. Boulevard in Macon.

Wednesday, May 25th

Train Week at the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Macon (10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)

The Museum of Arts and Science is celebrating Train Week from Monday through Friday this week. Attendees will learn more about trains and see the museum's unique Seaboard Caboose at this event. The Museum of Arts and Sciences is located at 4182 Forsyth Road in Macon.

Mulberry Market at Tattnall Square Park in Macon (3:30 - 6:30 p.m.)

This "producer-only farmer's market" takes place in Tattnall Square Park near Mercer every Wednesday. Local produce, meats, dairy, baked goods, eggs, and more will be available to purchase. Tattnall Square Park is located at 1155 College Street in Macon.



Thursday, May 26th

Five Course Seafood Dinner with Beer Pairing at Kudzu Seafood Company in Macon (5:30 - 9 p.m.)

Hungry seafood lovers are invited to the rooftop bar at Kudzu Seafood Company this Thursday for a five course seafood dinner. SuperFino Catering will provide the meal and the five courses will have five beer pairings from TrimTab Brewing in Alabama. Tickets cost $90, which includes gratuity and tax, and can be purchased online. Kudzu Seafood Company is located at 512 Poplar Street in Macon.

Friday, May 27th

The Gregg Allman Laid Back Legacy live at Hargray Capitol Theatre in Macon (8 p.m.)

Band members who formed the Gregg Allman Live Laid Back Tour band in 1974, including Tommy Talton, Randall Bramblett, Charlie Hayward, and Bill Stewart, will be performing this Friday night. There will be many other talented musicians sharing the stage for this musical event. Tickets can be purchased online and start at $25. Hargray Capitol Theatre is located at 382 2nd Street in Macon.

Saturday, May 28th

Float Daze's 7th Annual Memorial Day Float (9 a.m. - 8 p.m.)

Float Daze invites the public to come celebrate Memorial Day with a float down the Ocmulgee River at Amerson River Park. This popular free event also encourages floaters to help remove litter from the beautiful river while enjoying a leisurely and relaxing day on the water. Amerson River Park is located at 2551 North Pierce Drive in Macon.

Yoga in the Park in Perry (9 - 10 a.m.)

Wild Child Yoga presents a free, all-levels yoga session in downtown Perry on the last Saturday of every month through August. The organizers request attendees bring their own yoga mats and drinks for this class. Yoga in the Park will take place at 801 Main Street in Perry.

Macon Pops Presents: The Beatles' Greatest Hits in Macon(4:30 - 10 p.m.)

Macon Pops will present popular songs from The Beatles at the Museum of Arts and Science's open air music venue on Saturday. Attendees are invited to bring their chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to enjoy live music in the great outdoors. There will also be food trucks and drink vendors on hand. Tickets for kids over 5, students, and military members cost $12, adult tickets start at $22 and they can all be purchased on Macon Pops' website. Kids under 5 get in free. The Museum of Arts and Sciences is located at 4182 Forsyth Road in Macon.

Sunday, May 29th

Guided Hike at Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park in Macon (8:30 a.m.)

A park ranger will lead this 1-mile guided hike on the Opelofa Trail in the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park on Sunday morning. Hikers will learn more about wetlands ecology and its importance. The organizers request participants bring water and closed-toed shoes. The hike will start at the Great Temple Mound parking lot. Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park is located at 1207 Emery Highway in Macon.

Trombone Love and One Love Entertainment in Macon (7 p.m.)

The historic Douglass Theatre will host another free Jazz In The Courtyard event this Sunday evening. Trombone Love and One Love Entertainment will provide the live jazz music. The front plaza of the Douglass Theatre will become an outdoor music venue for this event. Participants are encouraged to bring their own chairs. The Douglass Theatre is located at 355 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Macon.
