Macon Film Fest and Macon Pride will bring the historic Bibb Theatre's façade back to life on Sunday, September 22, at 8 p.m. with a screening of the road comedy film "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar"
The Bibb Theatre opened in Downtown Macon in the year 1938 as a 450-seat movie theater. It has been closed for more than 40 years, but it has been reborn as a creative type of drive-in theater.
Attendees are invited to bring chairs or picnic blankets to get comfortable while watching the film, which stars Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze, and John Leguizamo as three hilarious New York City drag queens,
This movie event is free and open to the public.
