This week you can break out your ugly Christmas sweater, get ready to sing some karaoke, laugh at some comedians, or just go listen to a professional musician serenade you. The following are just a few of the live performances you can experience in the next few days in the heart of Georgia.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 21
KARAOKE AT JBA WITH FRESH PRODUCE RECORDS (9 P.M.)
Willie D hosts entertaining evenings of karaoke at JBA every Thursday. There is no cover charge during this event and no charge to become a karaoke star either.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 22
DJ PICKLE AT THE SOCIETY GARDEN (7 - 10 P.M.)
DJ Pickle of Pickles Productions will be spinning tunes at The Society Garden this Friday. There will be no cover charge for this show.
BLAK 9EARL AT THE PRE-CHRISTMAS SHOW AT GRANT’S LOUNGE (9:15 P.M.)
The soulful songstress Blak 9earl will be performing at Grant’s Lounge on Friday night. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $12 online or at the door.
12ELEVEN AT THE HUMMINGBIRD (10 P.M.)
The band 12eleven's sound encompasses rock, blues, country, rhythm and blues, and pop. The band was started by four college students outside of Troy, Alabama. As they gained experience and a fan base, they began performing in the Florida Panhandle. The Hummingbird will have a $5 cover charge during 12eleven’s performance.
DANNY CHICARO AND FRIENDS WITH THE BOBBY FERGUSON BAND AT JBA (10 P.M.)
The Bobby Ferguson Band, along with founding member Matt Moncrief, will open this show on Friday. Danny Chicaro and Friends, featuring Adam Hendley, Evan Bentzel, Ethan Hamlin, Hub Chason, and Danny Chicaro, will then take the stage. Tickets to this show cost $10 online or at the door.
UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER PARTY WITH DJ LAYLO AT FRIENDS ON THE HILL IN WARNER ROBINS (10 P.M.)
DJ Laylo, along with DJ B3, will take part in The Friends on the HILL’s The Mixer this Friday. This event will also include plenty of ugly Christmas sweaters and deep bass. There is no cover at Friends on the HILL.
JERRY GRANT AND THE CORRUPTORS AT BILLY’S CLUBHOUSE (10 P.M.)
The band Jerry Grant and The Corruptors will be playing southern rock and blues music at Billy’s Clubhouse late Friday night. Billy’s Clubhouse does not have a cover charge.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 23
BIG MIKE & FRIENDS CHRISTMAS CAMPFIRE JAM AT THE SOCIETY GARDEN (6 P.M.)
The talented Big Mike and a few of his friends will be performing classic sing-along carols and more at The Society Garden Saturday. The venue will have plenty of campfires as well as s’mores, hot toddies, cocoa, and more. There will be a $5 cover charge for this show.
ROAD TRIP: FOREST VIOLETTE AT CALLAWAY GARDENS (7 -10 P.M.)
Forest Violette is a singer, songwriter, and musician based out of Atlanta. He will be performing at Callaway Gardens this Friday and Saturday. The performance will be free with entry into the park.
MAKEDA NICHELLE AND DJ SCOOB AT APT. 77 LOUNGE (8 P.M.)
Makeda Nicelle is a recording artist, songwriter, and poet who will be performing at Apt. 77 Lounge starting at 8 p.m. Following Nichelle’s performance, DJ Scoob (who performs all over the east coast) will be spinning and mixing for the crowd.
OPEN MIC COMEDY WITH TALL TREY COMEDY (9 P.M.)
While this performance might be light on the music, it will include plenty of holiday cheer to make up for it. Tall Trey Comedy will host this comedy event. The headliner will be Devin and Jessica It’s All Good will also perform. This event is for audiences 18 years and older and is free to watch or perform in.
CLARKAFTERDARK CHRISTMAS AT GRANT’S LOUNGE (9 P.M.)
DJ ClarkAfterDark will be mixing it up at Grant’s Lounge at a special Christmas-themed show on Saturday. Attendees who bring five canned food items get in free. For everyone else, there will be a $5 cover charge at the door.
DJ LUPO AT THE HUMMINGBIRD (10 P.M.)
DJ Lupo will be performing at The Hummingbird’s Ugly Holiday Sweater party late Saturday night. The person who wears the ugliest sweater will even receive a Grand Prize from Pabst Blue Ribbon. There will be a $5 cover at the door for this show.
