There are plenty of fun adventures for Middle Georgians to go on this week, including an evening of music with Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with R.E.M. bassist Mike Mills, mingling with singles on a rooftop with a great view of Downtown Macon, testing your trivia knowledge for bragging rights, and several free musical performances. The following interesting (and often free) weekday events prove that Monday through Thursday can be just as memorable as the weekend.
MONDAY, November 17th
DATING: Mingle with Singles at Hightales Rooftop Bar (6-8 p.m.)
Middle Georgia professionals will gather for an evening of connection at Hightales Rooftop Bar this Monday evening. Mingle with Singles offers craft cocktails and city views in a relaxed atmosphere designed for meeting new people. MUSIC: Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra at The Piedmont Grand Opera House (7:30 p.m.)
Also on Monday, the Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra (MMSO) performs Brahms' Symphony No. 1 with guest conductor Peter Oundjian. R.E.M. bassist Mike Mills and violinist Robert McDuffie will play Mills' Concerto for Violin, Rock Band and Orchestra for a truly memorable performance. MMSO features rising stars from the McDuffie Center for Strings performing with professional musicians from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. HEALTH: Walk ’n’ Talk: Men’s Health Stroll with F3 Macon at Tattnall Square Park (6-7:30 p.m.)
Bike Walk Macon's monthly walking series partners with F3 Macon for a stroll around Tattnall Square Park and Mercer's campus this Tuesday. The walk includes bodyweight exercises and a discussion about fitness and connection. While F3 Macon focuses on men's health, everyone is welcome to this Walk ’n’ Talk, according to Bike Walk Macon. Participants should be able to walk three miles and bring water and fitness gear. Leashed dogs are welcome. This Walk 'n' Talk is free to attend and open to all.

HISTORY: Evening with History: Dr. Amy Wright presents 200 Years of Stores from the Brown Stetson Sanford House at Allen’s Market (6:30 p.m.)
Dr. Amy Wright, Executive Director of Georgia’s Old Capital Heritage Center at the Depot, will discuss two centuries of history from the Brown Stetson Sanford House (BSSH) in honor of the building's 200th anniversary this Tuesday evening. BSSH has served as a tavern, home, restaurant, and museum throughout Milledgeville's history. The evening includes a prize drawing supporting the organization's fundraising campaign for mental health awareness programs, museum expansion, and heritage exhibits in 2026. Evening with History is now in its 20th year. Donations are encouraged, with $25 donations earning entries in the prize drawing. Evening with History is free to attend.

MUSIC: With One Voice presented by the Mercer University Harp Ensemble in Fickling Hall (7:30 p.m.)
Calista Koch conducts the Mercer University Harp Ensemble in works by Britten, Rutter, Fauré, and others on Tuesday night. The program features pieces originally written for choir and harp, rearranged for harp ensemble. The Mercer University Harp Ensemble concert is free and open to the public.

WEDNESDAY, November 12th
Ribbon Cutting for Circa Catering at Brasserie Circa (11 a.m.)
On Wednesday morning, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce will celebrate Circa Catering's ribbon-cutting ceremony at Brasserie Circa. This event offers community members a chance to support the new business and connect with fellow residents. The Circa Catering ribbon cutting is free to attend and open to the public.

MUSIC: Tommy Talton Album Release featuring Chuck Leavell and Rick Hirsch at Capricorn Sound Studios and Museum (6 p.m.)
Capricorn Sound Studios hosts a celebration for Tommy Talton's final studio album "Seven Levels," featuring performances and roundtable discussion with Chuck Leavell and Rick Hirsch. Talton, who passed away last December at age 74, co-founded the Capricorn Records group Cowboy with Scott Boyer. “Seven Levels” showcases Talton's signature heart and soul, representing his enduring contribution to southern rock, according to the organizers of this celebratory event. TRIVIA: Trivia Night at Longleaf Distilling Co. (7 p.m.)
Longleaf Distillery hosts an evening of trivia with prizes and cocktails this Wednesday where teams compete for bragging rights as well as prizes. Trivia Night at Longleaf Distilling Co. is free to attend.

THURSDAY, November 13th
MUSIC: Third Thursday Concert with Harpist Calista Anne Koch at St. Joseph Catholic Church (12:30 p.m.)
Middle Georgia harpist and Mercer University professor Calista Anne Koch performs at St. Joseph Catholic Church this Thursday for St. Joseph’s Third Thursday Concert series. Concerts in the Third Thursday Concert are free and open to the public.

The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce celebrates businesses and leaders who have impacted the Middle Georgia community throughout the year this Thursday. This happy hour-style event features local beer and recognition of community contributions. Cox Communications and Georgia Power sponsor the Annual Awards.
