July is a Great Month to Land a New Job in Macon


Finding a new job in Macon during the month of July should be an easy feat.

July will give you plenty of opportunities to find a new career in Macon. 

There will be 8 separate job fairs in Macon during July, with the first taking place earlier today.

Goodwill Industries and The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce will host a job fair as part of the 2021 Macon Go Hire Career Fair on Wednesday, July 14th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Goodwill's Anderson Career Center. This event will feature multiple positions in different industries at companies like GEICO and Atrium Health Navicent.

Rivers Edge Behavioral Health is also hosting a job fair on Wednesday, looking to fill positions of nurses, security guards, support staff, and more . Their event will take place at their 175 Emery Highway location and will also take place from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

If you would like to work at the "new mall" in Macon, Friday, July 16th might be your lucky day. The Shoppes at River Crossing will hold a job fair looking to fill dozens of positions at its stores and restaurants. This event will take place next to the Men's Wearhouse from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Finally, you will have more chances to land a new position on Saturday, July 17th when the Bibb County School District hosts a job fair. This job fair will go from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Northeast High School.

The Bibb County School District, through partnerships with Atrium Health, the Department of Public Health, and Macon-Bibb County, is hosting multiple other job fairs later in July, which are listed below.

  • Monday, July 19th, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Howard High School
  • Saturday, July 24, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Wellness Center (Registration opens July 17th at www.covidsafega.com)
  • Friday, July 30, from 9 a.m. until Noon at the PBIS Back to School Bash which will take place at the Ed Defore Sports Complex
