From conferences to Lord of the Rings trivia, there are plenty of things to do this week in Middle Georgia, from the productive to the entertaining. MONDAY, April 27th
>> Black Prosperity 2030 Conference at the Macon Marriott City Center (8 a.m.-4 p.m.)
The Georgia Coalition of Black Chambers will hold Black Prosperity 2030 Conference, a “multi-year, field building initiative,” at Macon’s Marriott City Center on Monday. This conference will focus on systemic obstacles to business survival, scale, and ownership transitions for African-American entrepreneurs. TUESDAY, April 28th
>> Mom’s Glow Up Garden at Switch Macon (6 p.m.)
Mom’s Glow Up Garden is a unique event to celebrate moms or anyone who needs a “little extra sparkle” in their life. The curated pop-ups at this event include heavily discounted aesthetic service and products from Allure Aesthetics, permanent jewelry by Macon Sparx, boutique apparel and specialty items from Sweet Henni’s, and a flower bouquet cart from Petals Paint and Pitch.

WEDNESDAY, April 29th
>> Glassblowing Date Night at stARTup Studios in Macon (6-7:30 p.m.)
stARTup Studios offers a unique date for the adventurous. Glassblowing is a fascinating art form that is also a bit dangerous and hot, which can make for interesting nights out for lovebirds, friends, or family. Attendees, who must be 12 or older, will make stemless wine glasses or whiskey glasses, in this hour and a half long class. Book online for Glassblowing Date Night at this link.

>> 2026 Take Back the Night at Washington Park in Macon (6 p.m.)
The Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia presents a community event to “honor survivors, raise awareness, and reclaim our voices.” Attendees are encouraged to bring comfortable seating for this free event. >> Drift Night at Robins Racing in Warner Robins (6 p.m.)
Remote control cars can be extremely fast and agile, with skilled drivers able to make them drift just like real race cars. Drivers are invited to bring their 1/10 scale rides to slide at Robins Racing. This racing event is organized by Leon Carbon and Dream Ridez. Robins Racing is a remote control and hobby shop.

>> MUSIC: Mischief Unplugged at T & Jay’s Bar in Macon (8-11 p.m.)
Modern Mischief will be performing in an acoustic format for this show at Macon’s T & Jay’s Bar. The band plans on playing 90s and early 200s hits, reworked for the audience. There is no cover charge at T & Jay’s Bar.

>> Saturday, May 2nd > 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Greek Spring Fling at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Macon: The Central Georgia Greek Festival will hold its annual Greek Spring Fling this Saturday at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church.
>> Sunday, May 3rd > 2-5 p.m. Open Streets Macon: Houston Avenue: Open Streets Macon creates a temporary park for the community from Newberg Avenue to Rocky Creek Road on Sunday. Open Streets Macon’s events are free and open to the public celebrations of public space that are meant to bring the community together to exercise and play.
