Monday, November 8th

Low-Cost Spay Neuter Clinic in Jackson (8:30 - 9:30 a.m.)

The HELP Spay Neuter Clinic will pick your pets up in Jackson, spay and neuter your pets in Newnan and keep them overnight, and then return them to you in Jackson. If you are interested you must make an appointment by following this link. If you aren’t able to make it on this date, this clinic returns to Jackson on the second and fourth Monday of every month. Owners will bring their pets to the Administrative Building located at 625 W. 3rd Street in Jackson.

Fresh Produce Records presents Country Jukebox (9:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.)

DJ Willie D. Soundsystem will play toe tapping, knee slapping country tunes for the crowd. Fresh Produce Records invites you to “boot, scoot, and boogie” down to JBA at 499 MLK Jr. Boulevard in Macon for this musical event.

Tuesday, November 9th

Trail Navigation Class at Ocmulgee Outfitters (6:00 p.m.)

If you have ever been lost, this might be a required class for you. Reagan will teach about reading maps, using a compass, and the use of natural landmarks to find your way. Ocmulgee Outfitters is located at 565 Poplar Street in Macon.

Storytellers Presents: “What Doesn’t Kill You…” Featuring Olivia Walter at Grant’s Lounge (6:30 - 9:00 p.m.)

Storytellers Macon brings true stories around a common theme that can shock and shake you to your core. This weeks theme is about life’s adversities and the strengths that come from going through tough times. This free event will take place at historic Grant’s Lounge located at 576 Poplar Street in Macon.

Music Therapy Live at JBA (9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.)

JBA hosts a free night of music therapy every Tuesday night. This event invites musicians to bring whatever instruments that soothe them and come make music with hosts Joe Palmer, Marcus Reddick, and Kenny Ray Williams. JBA is located at 499 MLK Jr. Boulevard in Macon.

Wednesday, November 10th

Festival of Trees Champagne Preview at Museum of Arts and Sciences (12:00 - 2:00 p.m.)

The Museum of Arts and Sciences will include champagne, rich foods, and lots of fancily designed trees as well as the 2nd Annual White Glove Sale of fine art. Tickets for this event are $50 and can be purchased on Eventbrite. The Museum of Arts and Sciences is located at 4182 Forsyth Road in Macon.

Thursday, November 11th

Al Sihah Shrine Circus at Al Sihah Shrine Center (4:30, 7:30 p.m.)

The Royal Hanneford Circus is a circus that the Hanneford family have helped keep going since the late 1600s, starting in England. Finally creating a circus of their own, the Hanneford family continues to tour the southeast bringing smiles and gasps to their audiences. The Al Sihah Shrine Center is located at 222 Mecca Drive in Macon. Tickets range from $9.99 and up and can be purchased at this link.

Collective Soul at Macon City Auditorium (7:30 p.m.)

Collective Soul first formed in the early 1990s and became popular with their song "Shine" that was released in 1994. There are now only three original band members left, Ed Roland, Dean Roland, and Will Turpin, with newer band members including Jesse Triplett and Johnny Rabb. The band most recent album, released in 2020, is called Half & Half. Ticket prices are from $36.75 and up and can be purchased on Ticketmaster.com at this link.

Clockwork Comedy Presents Mo Alexander Live at Grant’s Lounge (8 - 11:00 p.m.)

The headliner for this comedy show will be Mo Alexander, who has successfully roasted Keenan Ivory Wayans and had his own Las Vegas show, according to the organizers. Comedian Esteban from Memphis and AP The Diva from Warner Robins will also perform and the host for this event is Patrick Cunningham from Macon. Tickets for this event are only $10 plus fees and can be purchased at this link. Grant’s Lounge is located at 576 Poplar Street in Macon.

Friday, November 12th

Bike Tech’s Grand Opening Party Day at Bike Tech Macon (9:00 a.m.)

This event will feature 10% off all eligible products in schools (not bikes and gift cards). Little Light Coffee Co. Mobile Expresso Bar will be on hand from 9:00 to 2:00 p.m. and there will be giveaways throughout the day, according to the organizers. Bike Tech Macon is located at 909 Second Street in Macon.

Macon Mayhem’s Macon Veteran’s Cup at Macon Coliseum (6:00 - 10:00 p.m.

This event is set to become an annual club hockey tournament to commemorate the armed forces on Veteran’s Day Weekend, according to the organizers. This tournament will take place on Friday and Saturday and club hockey teams from Auburn, FSU, GA Tech, and UGA will participate. The Macon Coliseum is located at 200 Coliseum Drive in Macon.

Movies in My Park “The Goonies” on Coleman Hill (7:00 p.m.)

Macon Film Festival will screen the 80’s classic movie “The Goonies” on Coleman Hill overlooking downtown Macon. This hilarious movie is about growing up and not feeling like you fit in, adventure, and the search for treasure. Bring a blanket or chair and get comfortable while watching this PG rated film. Coleman Hill is located at 285 Spring Street in Macon.

Foreigner “The Greatest Hits” at Macon City Auditorium (7:30 p.m.)

Foreigner is a British-American rock band that was formed in 1976 by the songwriter and guitarist Mick Jones, Ian MacDonald, and Lou Gramm. This band had a few hits in the U.S. including “Feels Like the First Time”, “Cold as Ice”, and “Hot Blooded”. Tickets range from $60 and up and can be purchased at this link. Macon City Auditorium is located at 415 First Street in Macon.

Saturday, November 13th

Yoga Flow & Brunch at Kinjo Kitchen + Cocktails (10:30 - 11:30 a.m.)

This donation based yoga class takes place in the median at Second Street and Poplar Street beside Kinjo. Participants will receive a 15% discount off their brunch after the yoga class. Registration for this class is required and you can register here. Kinjo Kitchen + Cocktails is located at 497 Second Street in Macon.

The Ingleside Beard and Mustache Championships and Sausage Party (with Ax Throwing) at The Society Garden (1 -11:45 p.m.)

Ingleside Beard and Barber along with The Society Garden presents the first Annual Beard and Mustache Championship and Sausage Party (along with a side of ax throwing for good measure). Satterfield's Barbecue will be serving sausage and there will be a "Mobile Ax Throwing Trailer" according to The Society Garden. A top prize of $500 will be presented to whoever in attendance is judged to have the most impressive beard and mustache. Entry into the contest is as easy as showing up and the judges will make their decision around 7:00 p.m. The Society Garden is located at 2389 Ingleside Avenue in Macon.

Glassblowing Demonstration at Fire & Ice 2021 at Carolyn Crayton Park (1:00 - 4:00 p.m.)

Bryan Beck of stARTup Studios and Blazing Paddles Glass Studio will be giving a free glassblowing demonstration at Fire & Ice 2021, a ceramic and glass exhibition that will take place until November 20th. This event will take place at the Round Building in Carolyn Crayton Park (previously Central City Park) located at 115 Willie Glover Drive in Macon.

Sunday, November 14th

Food Truck Fest at Martha Bowman UMC (12 - 6:00 p.m.)

Martha Bowman United Methodist Church hosts their sixth annual Food Truck Fest. There will also be games, crafts, and inflatables for the kids, as well as live music, according to the organizers. Many of the food trucks are donating a portion of their sales to Crossroads Recovery Ministry. Attendees are also encouraged to bring canned goods for Macon Outreach. Martha Bowman UMC is located at 500 Bass Road in Macon.

Macon Mayhem vs. Fayetteville Marksmen at Macon Centreplex (4:00 p.m.)

Tickets for the hockey match between Macon’s hometown team and the Fayetteville Marksmen cost from $10 to $25 and can be purchased via Ticketmaster here. The Macon Centreplex is located at 200 Coliseum Drive in Macon.

Christmas Open House in Juliette (10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)

This event by More than Mason Jars will be a Christmas Open House and Grand Opening for More than Mason Jar. There will be unique gifts for sale at this brand new store located in the town where the movie “Fried Green Tomatoes” was filmed. This event will take place from Friday through Sunday.
