Celebration Day: Juneteenth
Juneteenth, which is officially on June 19, is a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. This day is a celebration of "African American freedom and emphasizes education and achievement" according to the Juneteenth website.
SOLID performs at JBA (9 p.m.)
SOLID, a R&B band with their own original sound, will be performing Monday night at JBA. This Macon based band features two guitarists/singers and one drummer. JBA is located 499 MLK Jr. Boulevard in Macon.
Wednesday, June 22nd
Career Fair at Hotel Forty Five (10 a.m. -4 p.m.)
While not necessarily an event to go to for fun, the Career Fair on Wednesday will give prospective employees a chance to apply for multiple open positions at Hotel Forty Five. Open positions include Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, Server, Bartender, Room Attendant, and more. Hotel Forty Five will be giving away $25 gas cards for the first 25 applicants. Cordovas at Grant's Lounge (9 p.m. - 12 a.m.)
The Cordovas is a band hailing from East Nashville who will be performing music from their album "Destiny Hotelis" Wednesday night. This band combines heady philosophical ideas, a love of poetry, and meaningful lyrics to create uniquely beautiful music. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased on the venue's website. Grant's Lounge is located at 576 Poplar Street in Macon.

African Americana and Magnolia Moon at Grant's Lounge (9 p.m. - 12 a.m.)
These two bands are well-known in Middle Georgia for solid performances and pleasing diverse crowds. Tickets for this show are $10 and can be purchased on Grant's website. Grant's Lounge is located at 576 Poplar Street in Macon.

Saturday, June 25th
Moonshine Still Reunion at The Society Garden (8:30 - 11:30 p.m.)
This Macon-based band is getting together again for a reunion show Saturday night. Moonshine Still formed in 1996 before Macon's resurgence as the music capital of Middle Georgia. Singer/guitarist Scott Baston, drummer/singer Will Robinson, bassist/singer Ray Petren, guitarist David Shore, keyboardist Trippe Wright, and percussionist Bill Jarrett make up this talented band. Tickets for this show are $17 in advance on Eventbrite.com or $20 at the door. The Society Garden is located at 2389 Ingleside Avenue in Macon.
Official Moonshine Still After Party at The Hummingbird Stage and Taproom (10 p.m. - 2 a.m.)
After the Moonshine Still reunion show there will be an after party at The Hummingbird Stage and Taproom with the talented Dustin McCook & Friends. Attendees 21 and over who bring their ticket from the reunion show will receive free entry. The Hummingbird Stage and Taproom is located at 430 Cherry Street in Macon.
Sunday, June 26th
Sandy Buckner & The Game at The Douglass Theatre (7 p.m.)
The Douglass Theatre presents another Jazz In The Courtyard this Sunday with special guests Sandy Buckner & The Game. Guests will listen to live jazz music in the front plaza of the Douglass. The venue recommends you bring your favorite chair for a more relaxing experience. The Douglass Theatre is located at 355 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Macon.
