MORE INFORMATION: NewTown Macon and the Macon-Middle Georgia Black Pages will announce the winners of the Downtown Diversity Initiative during a press conference held at Upper Echelon WRLD on Thursday, January 9 at 10am.

The Downtown Diversity Initiative took place in the fall of 2024 with a co-hort of 25 entrepreneurs. Participants were selected through a competitive application process and completed a 6-session business training and recruitment program designed to help participants successfully scale their business idea or concept. On November 2, 2024 the Downtown Diversity Initiative concluded with members of the co-hort pitching their business concepts to a panel of local business experts. The top five scoring graduates received $5,000 to help start or expand their current business.

Representatives from Wells Fargo, NewTown Macon, and the Macon-Middle Georgia Black Pages will announce the winners at the press conference and provide more information about this important initiative.
