This event by Middle Georgia Honor Flight is a surprise welcome home for Veterans who will be arriving back in Macon after visiting war memorials in Washington, D.C. 

Attendees are requested to bring American flags, banners, posters, and other patriotic items to welcome the returning Veterans back and to thank them for their service during the Veteran's Day weekend.

Middle Georgia Honor Flight is a non-profit organization that assists "aging and terminally ill U.S. veterans" to visit the memorials in Washington, D.C. The flights that they  schedule leave from and return to the Macon Regional Airport.
