Otis Music Camp has just finished their 16th year of providing mentoring to musically talented kids in Middle Georgia and they are celebrating with a finale performance at the classy Grand Opera House.

The camp is a two week, intensive learning experience that involves playing instruments, writing songs, singing, and recording, according to the Otis Redding Foundation.

The campers were mentored this year by musicians like Anthony Hamilton (Grammy award winner), Chuck Leavell (of the Allman Brothers Band, Sea Level, etc., etc.), Demon Jones, Scott Baston (of Scott Baston and Friends, Moonshine Still, etc., etc.), and other talented artists.

Many of the Otis Music Camp participants sharpened their musical skills, as well as learned important life lessons, at the camp starting when they were in middle school and attending each year even when they were in high school.

Otis Music Camp honors the legacy of Otis Redding and this year will include tributes to Otis Redding III as well.
