The first ever Macon Mural Festival will take place on September 8th through 10th and will feature multiple murals throughout Downtown Macon.

This event is presented by the Macon Arts Alliance funded by a grant from the Downtown Challenge Grant 2.0 from the Community Foundation of Central Georgia and American Rescue Plan funds from Macon-Bibb County through Visit Macon, and is also being sponsored by the Knight Foundation.

Macon Arts Alliance has partnered with Triangle Arts and will pair talented muralists with sponsoring businesses to show Macon is a unique "arts and cultural destination".

On Friday, September 8th, you will be able to see the muralists paint their murals at multiple locations around Downtown Macon.

On Saturday, September 9th, the artists will still be hard at work creating their murals and members of the public are invited to meet the artists at the free Mural Celebration Party at Triangle Arts Macon (5:30 - 7:30 p.m.).

Finally, on Sunday, September 10th all of the murals will be completed.

The locations and sponsors of the new murals that will be created during the Macon Mural Festival include the following:

  • Skate Park at Carolyn Crayton Park - Artist: Will Barker (Denver, CO)
  • Featured Project: Fall Line Brewery - Artist: Christian Stanley (Winter Springs, FL)
